the hand grenades are the only things that are going to get him convicted. Everything else he can have, including the hate lit. I like the last line however: busted for
intending to send pissy letters to a private school.
oh the humanity . . .

Aren't the Democraps seen as a threat to national security....and shouldn't they be included on the terrorist list as well. The DNC and their "leader" should be dragged before military tribunals, and promptly meet the firing squad.

I can't recall a single story about a terrorist using a .50 cal weapon. I even tried to find what cal rifle was used to kill Dr. Slepian, but the last news report I could find the police were not releasing the type of rifle. There were rumors of someone using a .50 cal rifle to shoot down passenger aircraft, but nothing confirmed. Anybody out there have a story about misuse of a .50 cal sniper rifle? What is this guy talking about? There certainly
is a continuing body of evidence that terrorists like to use jet aircraft, box cutters, knives, homemade bombs, and AK-47s.

"The longest-range confirmed sniper kill of the Gulf War was reported to have been made by a Barrett Model 82A1 at a range of 1,800 meters nearly 2,000 yards, or almost 10 times the maximum effective range of a standard hunting rifle"Apparently they use pellet guns for hunting in Conn. In NRA Highpower competition using .223-.308 calibers, we frequently shoot on 600 yd. courses. Hunters out west would consider a 200 yd. shot to be relatively close.
More sheer ignorance on the part of khumbaya anti-gun crowd.

Actually, this is an an article from New Haven, Connecticut. Connecticut state law specifically bans, by name, the four AR-15's that they allege that this man posessed. I am going to post some links to the prior article in this persecution series coming out of New Haven.

CT residents can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there are a bunch of weapons that are illegal in CT but legal in most other states.

"There's a growing body of evidence that the .50-caliber is the weapon of choice for terrorists." What evidence? Show me some evidence, you lying piece of crap. My impression was that fully loaded B-767s were the weapon of choice for terrorists. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my .50 caliber rifle. Where are the Freepers in Connecticut? These lying politicians need to get an earful from their constituents. Enough of this BS.

Anyone seen my tinfoil?I know you are being a bit facetious, but even one that scoffs at the conspiracy theorists has to be concerned by this line:
"Terrorism isn't just bin Laden supporters," state Rep. Michael P. Lawlor, D-East Haven, said.
"It comes in all kinds of forms."
Think of this in the context of all the civil liberties being stripped in the cause of fighting terrorism. That one line serves as a blueprint for those that want the American people to be disarmed and enslaved. Remember, all this guy did was buy the weapon..he had not used it in any harmful way.

"There's a growing body of evidence that the .50-caliber is the weapon of choice for terrorists." Nice little trick there. Suppose this were true and gun-control laws actually managed to keep the .50-caliber rifles out of terrorists' hands (I said suppose). Terrorists would then have to choose another weapon "of choice." And these gun-controllers could then say that that weapon was the "weapon of choice for terrorists."

Bump for the links. Have they accused this guy of being a witch yet?

With legislation like this, the real terrorists need only rock the boat to destroy us.

"Suppose" is the key word. Truth is, if the criminal terrorists want a .50 caliber weapon they're going to get one--they have the money. Does anyone really believe these guys are buying weapons through legal channels? These idiots in CT are nothing but blowhards trying to scare the sheep. I still want to see this "growing body of evidence." I'm sure it consists of nothing but the normal propaganda and lies from VPC or HCI (Brady Bunch).

Not too mention the fact, that no gun control law will stop a Bin Laden, Abu Nidal, Carlos the Jackal, or yes, Yassir Arafat just as it won't stop the Mafia, the Bloods,Crips and any variety street gang. The 'Rats are P.O.ed at the increase in gun sales, since 9-11.
THOSE WHO BEAT THEIR SWORDS INTO PLOWSHARES, WILL BE PLOWING THE FIELDS, OF THOSE WHO DON'T!
BTW. I saw the blurb about gun sales on the Drudge Report.

"It's a hell of a gun," said Diaz. "This thing is actually almost a piece of light artillery."Mmmmmmmmmmm, no.

I am sure that a hardcore terrorist cell ordered into CT to make an ultra long range shot against a politico in an armored limosine with a .50 would hit the brakes right at the state line and say to each other:
"Whoa! Hold it right here Achmed, we can't take the Barret into CT, they are against the law!"
Thank goodness the politicians of CT are eliminating this threat with their gun laws.
Now I can sleep easily, knowing the danger of terrorists using .50s has been eliminated.

Hmmm.... Can you clarify "rock the boat to destroy us" for me?
