Yes, someone, I think Cheney said that around 9 am, 9/11, the Secret Service had received a fax or telex at the White House that said in the code of the day that "Air Force 1 is next".
That's one of the reasons that they think there is a high level mole that gave them the code or that they have otherwise compromised some of our intelligence agencies.

Two minutes later, Mr Mineta, in Washington, issued an unprecedented directive ordering the Federal Aviation Authority to close all US airports. I think this decision, which came from President Bush, will go down in history as the pivotal point of September 11th, and prevented the day from being any more tragic than it was.
By the time the President slid behind his executive desk on the plane, Mr Bush's first rush of anger appeared to have settled into a controlled, if tense, mood of resolve. "I guess we're at war," he said as the plane readied for take off. While his aides looked at him open-mouthed, he added: "This is what we're paid for, boys."
Bush "out-Trumans" Harry S Truman!

This is about half of the entire article I will assume that in the second half there is an apology from the press and certain congressmen regarding Bush's refusal to return to Washington DC due to threats to destroy Air Force One. [threats which at the time were doubted by the liberal elite but have now been proven true]

Revealed: what really went on during Bush's 'missing hours' Bush was not missing. The right people knew where he was and for what reason.
It's the media elite who think they should be aware of everything he does and they have a snite about it if left out of the loop.
I'll like to know where Dan Rather-not would be if someone blow up the black rock (CBS) instead of the WTC.

Resolved: We have a MAN in the White House (and no longer a p#$$!-whupped womanizer)!

I'm reminded of Bill Slim (the British commander in Burma and the only Brit in WWII worth his salt.) On the retreat from Burma, after a terrible overnight disaster, he was greeted by his staff.
"Every general knows the look. They have no idea what to do and are looking to you for leadership. You don't know what to do either but you know that you have to give it to them. There is no one for you to turn to, no one for you to fall back upon."
What an incredible leader we have. We are so incredibly lucky.

Mr Rumsfeld ran to the point of impact and helped load the wounded on to stretchers before retreating to the secure National Military Command Centre, beneath the building. There, he refused entreaties to evacuate even as the Centre filled with smoke.BIG BRASS ONES!

What an incredible leader we have. We are so incredibly lucky. Perhaps the good lord was watching out for our Republic!
I find this article to be enormously reassuring on the management and style of the Whole Bush administration!
I love this line:
This is what we're paid for, boys."

Mr Bush coldly told the Vice President. "We are going to take care of them. Whoever did this isn't going to like having me as President."I just love this guy! God Bless him.

It's in "The Dairy," a building on 57th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues. It's about as close to the middle of nowhere as you can get in Manhattan. It's across the street from a car dealer.

"Somebody's going to pay for this," Mr Bush coldly told the Vice President.
I knew there was a reason I liked Dubya.
My first e-mail to friends & family on 9-11 opened with "Some how, some way, somebody is gonna' pay".
But with the way things have gone sinde 9-11...I'm just one of millions who said
basically the same thing.
Dubya, LEAD ON!
