Incidentally, those two divisions I named--Handscar and Skanderberg--were so brutal they made the German SS boys want to barf. If you want to know why everybody hates everybody else in the Balkans right now, look to the experience of WW2. The German puppet troops behaved like animals, and the partisans ended up returning the favor.

these "protests" make me ashamed to tell you people I am Dutch...

There are nutcases in every society. Don't feel bad because of these fruitcakes, feel bad because your government forces you to pay too much in taxes and is in favor of a large central European government.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the nazi agenda were instituted, swarthy complected semitics of all religeous stripes would fill death camp landfills. I never saw a blonde haired, blue eyed aryan arab and my intuition tells me I never will.

Wrong and wrong.

First, real Nazis did not consider Semites to be untermenschen. While some Nazi propagandists chose to portray Jews as subhuman because it was a simpler message to convey, the orthodox Nazi thinking was that Jews were "racially tougher" than the Aryans and needed to be expelled from Europe as the Aryans' competition.

Arabs may not be Aryan, but not all moslems are Arabs. Names "Iran" and "Iraq" both derive from the word "Aryan." Aryans migrated eastward as well as westward during prehistory. There are many fair-haired, blue-eyed moslems.

According to the order of battle I have, 21st Waffen Gebirgsdivision der SS Skanderberg was never fully formed, and was disbanded in 1944.

Kosovo Albanian nationalist militias called the "Balli Kombëtar" (or "Ballistas") carried out a campaign of deportation and murder of Serbs in 1943 and 1944. Then, on Hitler’s express order, the Germans formed the 21st "Waffen-Gebirgs Division der SS" - the Skanderbeg Division. With German leaders and Kosovo Albanian officers and troops, Hitler’s hoped that using the Skanderbergs Germany could "achieve its well-known political objective" of creating a viable (i.e., pure) "Greater Albania" including Kosovo.

In general, German policy was to organize volunteer military units among Nazi sympathizers in occupied countries. Of all the occupied nations only the Serbs, Greeks and Poles refused to form Nazi volunteer units. Rather than joining the Nazis, as the Albanians in Kosovo did, the Serbs organized the largest anti-Nazi resistance in Europe. Both the Communist Partisans and thee Royalist Chetniks were mainly Serbs and both groups fought the Germans and their local allies throughout Yugoslavia.

The Germans recruited the 9,000 man Skanderbeg division to fight these resistance groups But the Skanderberg's Albanians had little interest in going up against soldiers; they mainly wanted to terrorize local Serbs, "Gypsies" and Jews. Many of these Kosovo Albanians had seen prior service in the Bosnian Muslim and Croatian SS divisions which were notorious for slaughtering civilians.

What explained this passionate hatred for non-Albanians? A big factor was militant Islam. The Fundamentalist "Second League of Prizren" was created in September 1943 by Xhafer Deva, a Kosovo Albanian, to work with the German authorities. The League proclaimed a jihad (holy war) against Slavs. They were backed by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, El Haj Emin Huseini, who was pro-Nazi and had called for getting rid of all Jews in what was at that time British-occupied Palestine. Albanian religious intolerance was shown by their targeting Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries for destruction.

Actually it was in Hungary and Croatia where the Arab Nazi SS did most of their Jew killing if I recall. But it did occur. See this book. The Israel Arab Reader

There were several Muslim units in the Waffen SS and the German Regular Army.

One that I can document (no pun intended) was Ostürkische WaffenVerbände der SS - volunteer unit of Muslims that served in Poland 1943-44. SOURCE

I'm sure the others can be tracked down but its not worth the candle as I believe the point has been made.

"...these "protests" make me ashamed to tell you people I am Dutch...

There were only 100 of these jerks out of how many million Dutch? No one in their right mind would think that group of idiots represent the Dutch people. You have nothing to be ashamed about. You have a great country.

And why do you think that was?

The Germans didn't want troops who'd abandon the mission to execute--via torture, no less--Orthodox, Jewish, and Gypsy peasants...

We are close friends with Israel, but these "protests" make me ashamed to tell you people I am Dutch...

You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. What some idiots do does not reflect on either your country or yourself. By condemning these people and their actions shows that you are taking a stance against these (for lack of a better word, which, if I used it would surely get me banned) protestors.
