Nearly 40% of small arms used by 3rd world armies, insurgents, and terrorists were made in Russia or the former Soviet Union. Any jackass can see that by watching the news every evening. Clean your own house before accusing us Putin!

...and a full-auto AK-74 for $100.00... Too bad we're using those messy daisy cluster bombs over in Afganistan. The "Evil One's" AK-74 would have made a nice war trophy. I envy our Special Ops troops' great opportunities to pick some real collectibles over there. ;-)

So the US anti-gun Nazis have openly allied themselves with a country run by gangsters. A country that can't keep track of nuclear weapons doen't have any business telling me I can't own a firearm. I hope the NRA publicizes the connection between the gun-grabbers and their commie masters.

I've always said liberalism is nothing more than a fancy word for communism. This proves that those who are active at trying to regulate and eventually take our guns are nothing more than communists.

i guess countries that want to invade the united states do not want each citizen to be a member of the militia.(smile)
this statement was not for our direct cosumption. it is meant to keep guns out of the hands of its citizens who might overthrow putin. it is also a concern being expressed through diplomatic channels that is trying to blame the russian mafia on guns that come from the united states, in the hopes that we will provide more foreign aid.
russia could really care less if we have weapons or not.

"Just kill me now" ....Hmm , only 28 and you want out already ?.... I chuckel in your general direction .... Sorry, you have to stay and suffer with the rest of us living, REAL AMERICANS. Your wishes for an "out" indicates sensitivity, caring and compasion, ideals sorely missing in todays society. Consequently, you've been "ordered to serve" a term not to exceed 100 years during which time you will deal with the next generation of HEllery's, Janet Rino's, Hanoi Janes.. Feinstein's, Clintons, Schumer's etc Good luck

I doubt the government of the RF cares if we own small arms either. Many people think that Russians are not allowed to own guns. Not true. Almost everyone has at least a shotgun, and many have rifles. There are some limits on semi-auto rifles such as 10-round mags. Handguns are generally prohibited but easily available 'na lyeva'. The reality is that there are just as many guns around Russia as in the US. This 'Voice of Russia' commentary is likely just one of many realpolitik gripes about the ABM treaty, our success in Afghanistan, Kosovo, etc. Of course the gun control crowd such as VPC and their congresscritters will seize upon it as if it means anything at all. Which it doesn't.

Considering that most gun-control groups are Red, it doesn't suprise me in the least.

"Except of course that with enough cash you can buy ANYthing over there."That's everywhere Laz.....Wire me a couple of million and I could probably have a Stinger Missle or a Tank delivered via UPS to your house......
Theoretically speaking of course.....

"Just kill me now." Becareful what you ask for. With the UN</font face= creepy></font color= red> led NWO you might get it soon.
How come I can't close some tags? I'm on another computer at a differant location and I'm still having problems closing out some tags.
Tags like bold are no problem, but tags like font face, font color, font size I'm having problems closing them out.
- Are you guys in Freeperworld having problems?

Who the heck is this Moscow character? A quick perusal identifies no spokeman for the Russian government, nor even hints at one, such as "unamed Russian officials". Or do y'all think the BBC speaks for the British government on all subjects, or the Voice of America for the United States for that matter. Actually I believe Russia had less restrictive gun control, even before the fall of the Soviet Union, than one might think. Especially outside the larger cities. Lots of Russians, and citizens of the former Soviet Republics own guns, shotguns and hunting rifles mostly, that includes the father of a woman that I know, an ethnic Ukranian, from Biskek (formerly Frunze) Kyrgistan. I think permits and such are/were required, but I'm not certain of that.

Hey, were the Taliban using AR-15s or Kalashnikovs? AK's of course, but the Palistinian authority troops are armed, at least in part, with M-16s. I don't know how or where they got them, Clinton probably sold them to them, although there are non US sources for them I believe.

Despite the strictest gun control in the world, when I was in Russia I was offered a Makarov pistol for $50.00 and a full-auto AK-74 for $100.00. RPG-7's were also available for a little more. It's a good thing you didn't buy the weapons. Your friendly salesman was probably running a sting operation to -- typically -- "recruit" you into being a useful agent.
