Marie, have you got any links to stories about the docs you mention? That's a little disconcerting.

I have the correct spelling for Heidelberg, but I'm coming up empty and need more to go on. Are we sure they were "doctors" or could they be scientists, researchers, physicians, etc. ANY clues that are more specific could help.

Car found, but still no sign of missing Army physician

HEIDELBERG, Germany — The car of a missing Army physician has been found, but officials are still mystified as to what may have happened to the doctor himself.

Maj. Jon E. Baldwin, 37, disappeared Sept. 13 after leaving home for work at the Army’s hospital in Heidelberg in his burgundy 1998 Subaru station wagon.

(snip)

That's from September; he may have been found by now.

The dean of the Iowa Medical School, Richard Nelson, was apparently stabbed by his wife. They were separated, and she has confessed to the stabbing. She has been charged with 1st degree murder. Forget about this one as part of some systemic plot to wipe out medical experts.

Not a medical employee, but another American missing in Germany:

Marshall Center employee missing, but police don't suspect foul play By David Josar, Stuttgart bureau

Military police in Garmisch, Germany, do not suspect foul play in the disappearance last week of an employee from the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.

Thomas A. Bates, who coordinated visits for guests and officials at the school, has been missing since Oct. 10.

I'm not finding anything else on this Baldwin guy except this one article. Surely there's follow-up information somewhere. I think I'll post the full text here, just in case.

Car found, but still no sign
of missing Army physician

HEIDELBERG, Germany — The car of a missing Army physician has been found, but officials are still mystified as to what may have happened to the doctor himself.

Maj. Jon E. Baldwin, 37, disappeared Sept. 13 after leaving home for work at the Army’s hospital in Heidelberg in his burgundy 1998 Subaru station wagon.

It was that car that his wife, Sherilyn Baldwin, finally found this week. Despite searches by German and U.S. Army investigators after his disappearance, Sherilyn Baldwin found the car not far from the Baldwins’ home.

"It was at the train station in St. Ilgen, which is about 10 minutes away," she said.

Investigators haven’t found any leads, she said, but added, "I think everyone has been doing everything they can to solve this."

The father of three young boys — all under 3, the youngest born less than three months ago — Jon Baldwin has worked at the hospital as a family practice physician for the past year.

After finding the car, Sherilyn Baldwin says she and a friend spent 12 hours riding up and down the train lines from St. Ilgen, plastering stations along the way with the "Missing" posters that have become a common sight throughout the Heidelberg area since the doctor’s disappearance.

"I’m still focused on trying to find him," she said. "I really don’t know what’s happened, but until I find my husband I’m just going to keep looking."

In the meantime, friends have rallied around her.

"The hospital command has been very gracious and helpful, as well as the women from my church," Sherilyn Baldwin said.

In fact, she said at least one person from Protestant Women of the Chapel, a local Bible study group, "has been with me almost 24-7," bringing food, support and helping hands with the three children.

"I don’t think I could make it through this without them," she said.

I'm concerned about this and I hope there is major coverage on TV, if Walker is right about a major attack, is someone removing them as they could solve bio attack quickly! Also weren't there scientists on board the flight that crashed in the Caspian Sea? My concerns are ebola and not so much smallpox especially since the outbreak!

Yes, These may be the guys who know what's going on and opened their mouths. Perhaps they where speaking out about foriegners in US labs being involved in getting the military grade anthrax to other foriegn operatives to committ terrorists attcks???

One thing is for sure the government/FBI seems to have no interests in finding out what is happenning to these experts or in letting these aatacks get blamed on foriegners.

The government seeems to only want this blamed on a lone American right-winger

TS- I think there is a far bigger picture here. Can´t for the life of me figure it out, but it is bigger than OBL and more complex than trying to wipe out scientists who could respond to an impending attack, IMO.

Also, I have to imagine we have many biologists/scientists to call upon from around the world, not that I think there would much time for research and development.
