There are many Anglican converts to the RC Church, including the former C of E Bishop of London, the Duchess of Kent..etc....Of course most of these conversions occur because of the work of conservative/traditionalist institutions such as the Brompton Oratory or the Latin Mass Society.....
Princess Di's mother, the Lady Francis S-K is also a convert and at Di's funeral, Charles provoked some commentary when he crossed himself in RC fashion.

This gesture has Pope John Paul II written all over it. His consistant goodness, compassion, honesty and morality cannot help but have a positive effect on humanity.
Thank you God for our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II.

The Queen was also an admirer of the late Cardinal Basil Hume, whom she called "my cardinal."I love that story Dumb_Ox!
Cardinal Hume must have been well-loved in England. There is rose named in honor of him and it is extremely popular there. American rose suppliers are beginning to carry it as well. 'Cardinal Hume' (the rose) has beautiful maroonish-purple cupped blooms that are extremely fragrant.

By the way when was Revelations renamed from the Apocalypse. My bible still calls it the Apocalypse. "Revelation" is simply the translation of "Apocalypse." My Greek-Latin NT titles the book "Apocalypse of John."
Here's a Greek dictionary definition: uncovering, of the head, Phld.Vit.p.38J.; disclosing, of hidden springs, Plu.Aem.14: metaph., a(marti/aj Id.2.7o f; revelation, esp. of divine mysteries, Ep.Rom.16.25, etc.; of persons, manifestation, 2 Ep.Thess.1.7, etc.; title of the Apocalypse.

I don't know when it was renamed, many of the books have been called different things over time, or have slightly different names in different Bibles. I used the word Revelations given the context of who I was ribbing and their preferred name for the book.

Hallo, patent. Glad to see you are continuing to post great articles like this one. It is a wonderful thing to imagine Queen Elizabeth II repairing the damage done by Elizabeth I. I know I can pray for that whole heartedly.
With the Anglican Church dying on the vine, perhaps Her Majesty envisions a change of vineyard. One can pray.

Whoaaa! Every so often I fall into a time warp. This is one of those moments. All of FR is now December 2001.
