A spokesman for the U.S. Army in Kuwait said the troops are in the country to conduct training exercises.

This is true...I read this a few weeks ago. A yearly exercise - but timely.

Eh, they've killed a few of us. Fairly minor compared to the large-scale damage done by spirit-destroying organizations like the Church of Scientology, and others.

Babylon is falling, is falling...   (Isa 21:9, Jer 51:8, Re 14:8; 18:2.)

Perhaps both of them.  It must be hard to run a country with a hook in your jaw.

Sort of interesting profile page, yours:

we have to weed out the spirit-destroyers and the genetic saboteurs in our society

Must be your strong personality that makes your mind try to flee ;).

What "radical branch" would that be? The "branch" that was blown up by the Stalinist Arafat as they stood in the streets a week ago?

They tend to have their propaganda stores near our universities

Oh, the Scientologists are in fact a threat. Not on the level with Islamism, but that is ony because they are few and weak. Give them some time. They have one basic tenet which makes them rather like the islamotards, in fact - the Doctrine of Fair Game. Basically, this says that anyone they deem an enemy - and that can be literally anything, including other Scientologists - is Fair Game. Fair Game can (and should) be lied to or about, attacked, destroyed or killed.

Not long ago, Microsoft had to rip out parts of their software in order to be allowed to sell Windows in Germany. One of the subcontractors, who makes the low-level disk verification routines, is a Church of Scientology subsidiary.

I distrust Scientologists

Just out of curiosity, have you had any personal contact with these people? You sound like you might have..

It's from GeostrategyDirect which seems to be part of World Tribune.com. One of their main contributors, that is reporters/columnists, is Bill Gertz.

Yes, and they hype the fact that Gertz supposedly will be a contributor to World Tribune.com to lend some credibility to everything else it prints. I don't think that logically follows.

Right now, I'm very skeptical of GeostrategyDirect and I'm getting the feeling that they are a Debka clone.

This from Gulf News.com

An extra 2,000 U.S. troops have begun arriving in Kuwait to take part in desert war games and act as a deterrent to Iraq, officials said yesterday.

"Their arrival is continuing over the next few days," a U.S. source said. The United States, which already has around 5,000 troops in the conservative Gulf Arab state, is preparing for a training exercise codenamed "Desert Spring".

The reinforcements are expected to draw military hardware from stores at the Americans' Camp Doha on the outskirts of the capital, Kuwait City, and head to the desert area close to the frontier with Iraq for the manoeuvres.

Officials said the U.S. show of force was a message to Iraq, demonstrating Washington's readiness to defend Kuwait despite Washington's preoccupation with its military offensive against the Taliban and the Al Qaida network in Afghanistan.

The United States has kept ground troops, warplanes and heavy weapons in Kuwait since the 1991 Gulf War, when it led an international military coalition to drive out Iraqi forces which had occupied Kuwait for seven months.

Considering that Northern Iraq with the rich oil fields around Mosul and Kirkuk could turn them from an importer to an exporter, they just might find it in their interests to administer a Kurdish protectorate.

Daniel 8:23-24

23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

Hope everybody realizes that there is absolutely no doubt the President has ordered the Joint Chiefs to prepare plans for all kinds of scenarios since 9/11.

One of those scenarios is obviously concerning Iraq and EVERY SINGLe option and realisitic military plan that can be executed and under what circumstances, including analysis by the state department, DOD, CIA- they all pitch in on the thinking and the possible results and liklihood of success.

Most Americans are unaware of the incredible amount of planning and thought that goes into such serious possible moves. There is literally a scenario in writing for just about everything you can imagine might occur. Since 9/11 this government has worked overtime to update scenarios and provide the President and his team with a helluva lot of info so he can have plenty of options at his disposal.

The era of the Johnson Administration and into the Nixon Administration of silly military planning and boondoggles is so far behind the management of military action today, it's like night and day. This is an incredibly scientific risk assessment pursuit. These people are extraordinarily capable, methodical, and approach this as a science.

So, if there is a build-up in Kuwait, you can bet your tail that it has been well thought out, there is an exact goal and plan already in place that has been thought-out in incredible detail, including diversionary plans.

Look, something is obviously going on there, the President has chosen some option, now the plan is being implemented- WHY? Because assests are being moved- that's the key. Now, you wait for the reaction, if any, and go to the next step of the plan, altering, amending, scientifically assessing what you then need to change or pursue. We are in incredibly good hands with this President and the most capable and intelligent National Security Council ever assembled. Nobody's gonna do anything stupid. If assests are moved, its silly to speculate about what is going to happen next, its been planned, assessed for risk, thought out thoroughly, and if movement is occuring, something is planned- it may be nothing more than diversionary.

In short, some military movements are impossible to do covertly. Others are not, Advantage is sometimes gained with covert, and advantage is sometimes gained with overt.

At this juncture, I wouldn't want to see people talking about U.S.assests being moved from bases around the world unless the Pentagon announces it. However, with Diversion, you don't announce it really, you "kinda" let the press find out about it.

Re: Reliable
Once I sent an article about the UN and its ulterior motives to my brother-in-law. When he reserached it a bit on the internet he said the "Goals" were written by an NGO, NOT the official UN body and so I was wrong in my assertions. I immediately sent off an email to Joseph Farrah asserting he should not publish misleading articles and be careful of what went out on his website. (Me jumping to conclusions unfortunately.) Farrah was quite shirty about it (no surprise) and sent me directly to the author. When I voiced my concerns to the author, I received HIS indignant protestations as well. (No surprise :) Then he gave me the background and information on how when the UN wants to put out very controversial opinions and goals it often does so through non-official NGOs so they can continue their socialist garbage but not take the heat.

Anyway, I learned a few things about WND. Joseph Farrah takes his credibility very seriously, and atleast this other journalist does the same. IMHO, WND is NOT even similar Debka, a website which seems to write eveything anonymously. I enjoy and respect WND.
