It's WhiteKnuckles (aka Bob Swierski of SNL fame) - How's it goin', aina? Choir practice is tonight, and our Christmas concert is on - yous guessed it - Sunday. Den it's over to da preacher's house for a pot luck (lotsa "hot dish" served - "I don't know, Marge, it's sumpdin wit tuna in it. Just shuddup an' eat it. It's good for ya"). Gonna have to watch my language while da big game is on. Might even have two tree Leinie's at da preacher's.

Actually, I've never been to Door county and have only seen the Dells passing through to Minneapolis.

My wife and I would drive up to Milwaukee just to get away from the big city of Chicago for a day -- we enjoyed biking out at the lakefront downtown. Madison is a pretty neat place, too. I'd been to the capitol and Lake Mendota out at UW Madison. And we always stopped at Taste of Wisconsin over in Kenosha.

Not all Chicagoans go to the Dells or Door county ... ;-)

Barbara and Ted Olson spent their last summer in Door County at their cottage on Kangaroo Lake (I think it's Kangaroo Lake)?

I remember Barbara appearing on some show -- O'Reilly, Hannity, or Fox & Friends -- via sattelite from Green Bay (I think) while she was staying in Door County. She raved about Door County when the DC or NYC host asked her what she was doing there! I think the show aired in August. Who knew??? --As she wipes a tear from her cheek and murmurs a prayer for Barbara
