Senate GOP gives up

Wow, that's a switch. The GOP backing down from a fight? Now I've seen everything. < /sarcasm>

Dumbasses, they should have gone through with the vote so people would know which senators voted against drilling and cloning. By the way, the farm bill that dashole is pushing is not even due until next summer.

This sounds more like a 'pull back for now' rather than giving up...this is actually better than usual for the Senate GOP. Certainly nothing to be excited about, though. :-(

Here we are in the middle of war in which we are funneling billions in energy payments to our enemies, and the democrats don't want to let a bill to allow us to develop our own sources of energy come to a vote. And the super - incompetent Republicans are unable to make a case for it. Congress is a mess of incompetents and scum, just what one would expect a mal - educated public to elect.

Good point. That would have made more sense.

Traitor Lott at work. When historians write his biography, they will name it Profiles in Cowardice.

Senate GOP gives up

The only surprise is to actually see it in writing. We've all grown accustomed to the occurrance.

Wonder if Daschle wants to hold up votes on energy, cloning and other matters until scientists actually clone him--I know, horribly frightening thought!! But in little Tommy's mind, he might think that would give him TWO votes in the Senate!!!

I have saved this phrase as a macro, it is needed so often.
