More to pray for.

Absolutely! It's so much easier to pray for them when we can see what they look like. (yeah, that's it)

I had this removed due to personal information being in the original text when I posted it. It has been advised from the yahoo news site that last names will no longer be used because family members were concerned they could be subject to retaliation or unwanted contact. So now they will only use first names.

Can you believe it, after all that trouble now I find some photos do have the first and last name. I guess they can't make up their minds. Oh well, from now on I will only post first names.

"Whazupwitdat?"

===============

There are three shadows on the back wall.

The gentleman in the middle of the pix is casting the shadow on the far left.

The gentleman's shadow, on the right-hand side, is the hazy form directly behind the gentleman in the middle.

The shadow that is second from the left is from a 'third' gentleman that is out of frame on the far right-hand (that is way his shadow is less distinct that the shadow on the far left) side and facing in a similar direction as the gentleman on the left. The shadow of the 'missing man' is further seen at about the Left-Hand Pocket area of the gentleman on the far left. That little shadow is the 'missing man's' hands.

The gentleman on the right is facing backwards and cannot be the one casting the second shadow. (His hands are higher and his head appears to be bowed as if he's looking for the closer on his pants (zipper - buttons - belt buckle - etc...)

So we were cheated. Should be three men in the photo but there are only two and the shadow of the third.

I was just sooo distracted by the Marine on the left my analytical skills went out the window.

Somewhere in Afghanistan.

Why post this? I don't know...I just keep going back to it. Great photo and I, sincerely, pray that night around the fire is a memory they tell their grandchildren about.

Laundry day

A U.S. Marine does his laundry next to a bullet-ridden wall of the Marine compound dubbed "Camp Rhino" in southern Afghanistan on Dec. 6.
