Thank you so very much for the excellent Scripture quote!!! One of my favorites is:
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
IMHO, the key term in Jesus' statement from the Sermon on the Mount is to be. (instead of to say or to do) How that happens is beautifully described in Jesus' prayer for us in John 17!

"I just think it was a group flag.." Actually he freepmailed me. Then said he knew it was "something I said to Jerry" but couldn't recall what it was. Somedays I wonder why I log in. Blessings to you and your family - honest ;-)!

I agree with being ready with an answer but this being a political board and in the past JimRob has asked us to keep the "apologitics" to a min I don't see that this fits here. If the news is regarding religous things then that would be part of the news but to argue/discuss these things on this board seems out of place. I say this as a Christian I just think these things are better done else where or in private email etc. Blessings to you,

You know what ? I log on every day and find 700 posts about penis and breast size, your favorite movies, cutting up deer meat, the Neverending thread is at least 10,000 posts
This is a community of people, almost an extended family, with lots on their mind. I do not like or agree with it all..I simple do not open them.. discussing religion, faith ,doctrine..is somthing our constitution is built on..and it is something Americans do ..so it is something that this community does too.
There is often strong disagreement black..but there is not one person here I would not stand behind and defend..and I believe that is true for most that post on these threads>
JR is a man that understands this..
God bless ..

I was saved when I was 13. I was raised Catholic. My mother died two weeks shy of my 13th birthday (brain tumor). She went in the hospital beginning of September, died at the end. Complete shock. Eternity hit me in the face, so did fear. I don't know where she went and I didn't want to feel so lost. Of course, I hated God for six months after her death. Thought about Him every day with hatred (first time in my life I thought about Him much at all, much less every day). But He didn't hold that against me. And He continues to prove how much He still loves me and can forgive my screw ups and short comings and sometimes, ugliness. Our God is an awesome God!

This is the secret mystery of iniquity, where by rejecting the beast, you still get marked with the beast, because you use it as an excuse to reject God. When you stand before God, your excuse that someone else did so and so isn't going to help you at all. You can think all the rotten things you want about me, call me judgemental, and so on, but I thought about you today before I logged on and I also prayed for you. All the rotten times you had in a catholic church, still is no excuse not to seek Jesus. You're just doing the same thing the rest of that church is doing.
God bless you faith ..you have layed out the issue in clear language..

The Outlaw
Some say he was an outlaw, that he roamed across the land,
With a band of unschooled ruffians and few old fishermen,
No one knew just where he came from, or exactly what he'd done,
But they said it must be something bad that kept him on the run.
----------------
Some say he was a poet, that he'd stand upon the hill
That his voice could calm an angry crowd and make the waves stand still,
That he spoke in many parables that few could understand,
But the people sat for hours just to listen to this man.
-------------
Some say a politician who spoke of being free,
He was followed by the masses on the shores of Galilee,
He spoke out against corruption and he bowed to no decree,
And they feared his strength and power so they nailed him to a tree.
------------------
Some say he was a sorcerer, a man of mystery,
He could walk upon the water, he could make a blind man see,
That he conjured wine at weddings and did tricks with fish and bread,
That he talked of being born again and raised people from the dead.
-------------------
Some say he was the Son of God, a man above all men,
That he came to be a servant and to set us free from sin,
And that's who I believe he is cause that's what I believe,
And I think we should get ready cause it's time for us to leave.
