These are nice looking women, but there are some women who are born for the burka.
Hillary would look a lot better in one, and so would Janet Reno, not to mention several women in N.O.W.

Isn't it just wonderful?! She does look like a next door neighbor with a very sincere smile. I wish we could give them all a big HUG! :-)

Just so you know, a lot of the afghani women were wearing a burquah even back when I was there, ... and a lot of them were not, it was the individual woman's decision. At least they are able to make that decision for themselves, again. And do you remember that fantastic photo on the cover of National Geographic many, many years ago? The tribal woman, just a beautiful face, absolutely striking and piercing blue eyes. That girl is (or was if she survived) Afghani

Awesome. Bin Laden didn't have a clue what would happen on 9/11. He meant fear and oppression but President Bush, by God's grace, has brought about freedom and liberty. This is wonderful and simply AWESOME.
Thanks for the ping.

These pics are truly wonderful. With regret though I think that this period may only be temporary. I don't expect their lives to be as horrible as under Taliban rule but it will be a long time before they have anywhere near the amount of freedom I believe they want - the freedom their faces so beautifully show. Such freedom cannot be had until Afghan society in general gets its house in order and adopts a democratic means of government. Both men and women need to work together to achieve that end.
I wish them God's blessings and Godspeed in their fight.
