We are America's militia or terrorized victims. Crushing windpipes, gouging out eyeballs, bursting ear drums with ear slaps, smashing teeth, breaking fingers, elbow and knee joints, and pen/pencil stabs will reprioritize terrorists' activities. Passive union aircrew members can give their eyewitness reports to authorities once on the ground.

Surviving Jihad Johnnies should await their death penalty in body casts.

I would hope that more people are taking stock of their surroundings on a plane and looking at what can be used as a weapon. Standing in line waiting to go through security, I realized that I had several items on me that would pass through that would come in handy.

The stylus from my PDA fits into the crotch of me hand and extends out ~2" past my thumb. It could be used to attack the eyes. My belt and its buckle could be used as a flail. The seatbelts on the plane are removeable. They can also be used as a flail. My coat could be used to trap an edged weapon. My briefcase could have made a good shield against edged weapons too. (I noticed, however, that the airline-issue, genuine polystyrene, "Norm Mineta Survival Knife™" would have been useless.)

The rule of thumb, as has been mentioned elsewhere, is to fight dirty. There are no rules other than to win. Go for the eyes, bite, kick, scratch, throw headbutts, or whatever it takes. Keep pounding the other guy until he's no longer a threat. Yes, you should kick people when they're down. The guy who fights fair loses.

Personally, I thought Mr. Shoe Bomb looked to be in far too good a shape after he was subdued. If a Freeper had been onboard it would have been him that the Doc would have had to sedate.

He's got a point. Things changed after 9/11 and hijackings that were once thought of as a nusanse or hostage/standoff type situation are now regarded by all to be unwanted participation in a mass murder.

People aren't going to take the hijackers at face value (we are just going to Cuba, Honest!) and they ARE definately going to resist.

With that in mind.. Why take my nailclippers?

Seriously.. I am SO SURE I am going to get up in front of a couple hundred people, brandishing them like a weapon and force them to do my bidding.

I has a steel Cross ink pen I could ram right through your heart.. no problem there.. But Nail Clippers? Sorry, you can't travel with those.

"It's not the message they want to give their employees. . . . You're telling them, 'It's God-awful bad out there, and you're alone.' " said Kevin Mitchell, chairman of the Business Travel Coalition

Can't have a little old thing like reality get in the way.

A simple belt with belt buck works quite well to either swing (round and round) above your head or to put around some towel head's neck and pull -- as tight as you can! Case closed!

A nice idea, but unfortunately too little too late. The confounding factor here will be the sorry state of the sheeple with respect to training, cayones, and resolve after decades of neutering at the hands of femi-nazis and other liberals in schools, churches, TV, and the news media.

I have been happy to observe, however, that the newly federalized "screeners" clearly are untrained and unimaginative with respect to noting the presence of field-expedient weapons. The resourceful FReeper still need not fly unarmed.

But, let us never forget that which the terrorists so insightfully predicted -- namely, that four teams of 3-5 operatives each were able to commandeer four and crash three airliners (each carrying ca. 150 potential resistors) into important civilian and military targets without benefit of firearms or other weapons more formidable than box cutters.

Those aboard the plane that crashed in PA. apparently did not attempt to re-capture their aircraft until they were informed of the terrorists' plan and had nothing to lose, despite the unopposed slitting of the throat of at least one person aboard. The nation's blind lionization of a few designated "heroes" who clearly waited too long to "roll" resembles the mindset of a kid who cannot let go of his need to believe in Santa Claus.

God help America. "Let's roll," my a##...

This is all well and good, but remember-flight 77 STILL went down. Beamer and the others were in good shape physically but in the end they were no match for the killers. This guy's dreamin' if he thinks that all of a sudden a 170 pound office boy is gonna become a force to be reckoned with.

Pilots should be armed. A gun is the only equalizer.

Dawn Geeks is one of the most putrid PC radical lesbian s#### alive! This bitch said that the flight 93 passengers were acting out also. I sure wish that one of her greasy arab fantasy lovers would open an ear to ear smile for her.
