Right on, he's Fox's answer to Christiane Amampour (or however you spell it).

Remember that for a spell (no pun intended) Geraldo was "Gerald Rivers", then he switched back.

Well, I hate the fact he is on Fox. Also, you can tell that the Fox Regulars hate it too. On Fox and Friends it was really obvious. Plus, I don't think Geraldo is comfortable with his new home. He is a man without a country. Surely there is a Lib out there that would appreciate his style. I hope Fox wises up and gives him the boot.

Geraldo was obviously hired to demonstrate Fox's dedication to presenting equal perspective. Some clown in the organization, and undoubtedly it is run by liberals, sold the idea, convinced Rivera to deny his past convictions, and brought him aboard. Realize in O'Reilly's case, how indifferent he is to those of whatever perspective, the fact that he detested this move, was in and of itself a symbol of what the bread winners on the team feel.

"Before it's all over, Geraldo may get discouraged and begin a defense tirade of his old favorite, bILLclinton."

He already has started. Last week on O'Reilly he was saying
that it was correct that klintoon was not convicted "because it was just about sex."
When O'Reilly objected to that statement
geraldo defended by saying "Look I have won 3 Emmys for my TV reporting."

You say Gerald Rivers is his real name? I had assumed he was originally Geraldo Rivera, then switched, perhaps legally, and then switched back. That was just my assumption, not based on anything. But if he changed from an original anglo-saxon birth name, that's really phoney and opportunistic - even if he had some ancestral claim to justification.

If you like the popular TV show "COPS", you can thank Geraldo. His investigative reporting of the early 80's (I believe was the time period), was where Langly/Barbour got the idea. A friend of mine that worked as a cameraman for Geraldo, during his run down the street chasing the drug dealer for an interview days, then began shooting for the "COPS" show, and still does today.

Say what we will about Geraldo, his Al Capone's vault fiasco, and his sickening defense of Bill Clinton, he has made a mark on TV.

I gave him a chance, just as Bill O'Reilly said to.

Then I turned the mute button on.

Now, mute is on whenever Geraldo is.

Watch out for liberals infiltrating Fox news. Similar to the "moderates" being elected into the republican party, ie. Bloomberg of NY.

Maybe...

I heard Rush address what he thought was behind this horrible move of FNC's.
Whorealdo's relationship to RAiles (sp?) is supposedly the primary factor with Rush declining to go into details of what he claimed lied behind the "real reason?
Let's just say IF FNC's *idea* of "fair & balanced" coverage means having the quisling Whorealdo on their team?
Than that speaks louder than anything the people at FNC could ever say about who & what they actually are as an organization.

btw; what's the deal whith ej's pics on your bio page?
Let's face it, "Too Low For Zero" was the man's absolute finest effort; the consummate musical R&R masterpiece if ever there were.
Just wished ej had used a *bit* more sense in what he parodied & how, is all.

My point was that all the ratings in the world can't prevent the Fox inner circle from showing their true perspective.

As to "EJ", I actually didn't care for Zero, nothing rocked. The next, Breaking Hearts, had some good slow music as well as rock. Li'l 'Friderator never got air time. But I must stick with the Classic Connection as #1.

The eighties were the white lady days for him and generally not considered a highlight in his music career.

One picture is a "back stage private". The other from the seats.

There was a thread yesterday concerning eccentrics. Normal people do not do what he has done. Let's skip all of the famous people and focus on the retarded. Ever read or watched a 57 IQ individual (who cannot read music) sit down at the piano after listening to someone play a piece by Tchaiskovsky, and play it back? I don't recall the name of the movie where gamblers used an individual who could count cards to win in a casino.

Rivera is real diverse? Half Jewish and half Puerto Rican. A twofer. A threefer if you count the mustache.

I think he's got some dog in him also.

Youth; wasted on the young... {g}

I'm sure you don't care for the work of Tal Farlow or Toy Caldwell either, then.
They didn't *rock* either...

Thanks; later...

Among other things, I'm an accomplished musician. In addition to my major, music was an area I studied heavily, back in the early 1970's.

As far as your people are concerned, I've never heard of Farlow, but I seem to remember Caldwell being a writer for various bands.
