Ever since September 11, the libertarians here have showed their true colors. The majority of them are anti-American slime. They are not just against big government, they are against the American system of government.
Many of them have been disloyal. They are disproportionately atheist. Many of them have turned moslem apologist. Not that they like moslems, so much, as they wish to side with the enemies of Christianity.
Honestly, libertarians suck.

Harry Browne shows how stupid some people can be. I could not believe that he would make such statements. I am very pleased that D'Amato finally had enough of his B...S... and told him so. k2afe Florida

I had to shut the set off, the stench from the living room was overpowering the house.

You do read too well do you, moron? I said not to vote for these people; I said nothing about making the party illegal. Go back to school and get your GED, jerk!

Calm down, both of you. That Harry Browne has wandered into some never-never land (intellectually) and mistaken it for viable political terrain is no call to start beating up on each other. Remember the things we DO agree on.

Actually some of them aren't any worse than some of the leftists - they're deluded, more than depraved. They've bought into something that appears to them to offer a lot, in return for very little. They can live in a society that has a lot of morality-based people keeping it going, withot doing very much/any of the heavy lifting. Essentially, they're selfish (don't want the govt. to do anything that doesn't benefit them) and have a taste for personal perversity. I mean, if you can say "Hey! drugs, porn, deviate sex - wow, dude!" and at the same time, resist paying taxes to pay for the problems caused by the degeneracy. It's like being juvenile about responsibility for others, yet enjoying adult pleasures. Stingray explained the deal many moons ago: "Liberals without the wit, charm and compassion."

Could somebody post some of his comments?

Harry Browne is doing, and has done, the Libertarian Party as much good as Mullah Omar is doing, and has done, the Taliban.
Browne is desperately in need of counseling...Mullah Omar should be put out of his misery.

Listen to me for a minute..........I didn't hear the things he had to say.......but judging from the response, these things are not garnering "popular" support.
It's one thing to attack him, but let's not bury the rest.........

What surprises me is that if there's one war that any libertarian would quite easily support, it's this one. Someone hiding behind the protection of another nation launched a murderous attack on our own soil. The U.S. demanded that bin Laden and Al Qaeda be turned over, the Taliban refused, so the U.S. attacked. If *this* war isn't a just war to the Libertarian Party's presidential candidate, I'd like to see what he'd do if OBL's boys happen to detonate a nuclear weapon in the U.S. Probably call for further negotiations . . .

so why didn't they invite maher too?
maybe hannity's irish temper will flare up and he'll pimp-slap browne!
(but i doubt it since it's all 'fair and balanced')

Harry Browne (big time loser in 2000 elections) is on Fox now...being grilled by...AL DAMATO!?....Harry, you are such a loser...tune in and watch...no wonder Libertarians only got 350k votes out of 50 million.
What a retread. The man, the ideas, the followers. Lame.

I have been struggling to define in a relatively short statement where I stand. I am a registered Republican that holds a strong libertarian bent with respect to government and a strong social conservative bent in terms of my personal philosophy and lifestyle. You might define someone like me as a "practical libertarian." I won't join the Libertarian party b/c it is nothing but the fringe and extreme element of those who lean towards a particular political philosophy. Additionally, there are some things in the platform that I simply can't agree with. As someone stated though, it is rather silly to issue a charge against all Libertarians b/c of an interview with one of them, head of the party presently or not. He doesn't represent me, but neither does a great number of Republicans.
Too many people here have no ability to recognize that there is a spectrum, and labels without definitions are relatively pointless and evidence of naive thinking and ignorance with respect to their own self-identified political label. Do all Republicans or Conservatives think alike? No. Do the "Social Conservatives" here willingly accept the fact that they "Suck" because some in the Republican party do not advance their agenda? No. If they were to splinter off and form a 3rd Party separate from the Republican party, would they even recognize that they would be marginalized as the Libertarian Party is and begin saying all Republicans "suck." I don't think most of them would even understand the depth of these questions.

"You'll be pleased to know I don't hold any leadership position in the Libertarian Party. I am a private citizen who grieves for what the politicians have done to my country and to the innocents who die in America and abroad. Many Libertarians disagree with my position, so you shouldn't judge the Libertarian Party by me."
