Nobody WANTS to live in New Jersey - unless they are refugees from the five boroughs of Manhattan. They go there to get away from the mess they created they created, then bring their same falwed thinking and politicians with them.
Most people are BORN there - sort of like being born into a feudal state. With family and jobs there, its difficult to leave - fortunately for the rest of the Country.

NJ residents don't need guns-they use their vehicles as weapons!

Funny you should mention that ! NJ used to have Criminal Registration laws: when you got out of prison, or were convicted of a felony, you had to register that fact with the police in your home town.

The thing you forgot was after doing all of the things you mentioned it can still take 3 months before you actually get the permit. When they came out with those Brady laws, I laughed, NJ is far stricter by a longshot. Gun owners in Jersey would take an instantaneous background check in a heartbeat. Alot depends on the local sheriff also, they can get it done fast or they can let the application sit in a pile for a month before they do anything. Which is kind of scary.

We do that real well - but not on a par with Oklahoma; where one out every three drivers seems to be "snapping in " as a kamakazi pilot !

I believe NJ has the highest income in the nation? Maybe that has something to do with it.

"Yep...they all moved there from Staten Island, no kidding." Staten Island. All the ambience and convenience of northern New Jersey, with the political representation of New York.
