Yes I agree with your accessment of his art. It is funny (unintentionally) though.

Sometimes at work I just get a Chick fix.

Lately, No Fear? has been my favorite.

I prefer Dark Dungeons

We never had a DM that looked like that when I was a high school geek!

Jack Chick exposing the evils of the TV show, "Bewitched."

Thanks for posting that strip. I've never heard of him before. And I can remember my father getting upset when I watched Bewitched as a kid (no, he wasn't religious; he just didn't like us watching stuff about witches). I watched it anyway. Didn't do anything to me. I became a Christian, in fact, during high school.

My hat's off to you, PleaseNoMore. It's refreshing to know a few parents still care what their kids watch, read and listen to. "Trash in trash out" still applies. Too bad most parents today can't be bothered.

My sons are grown now, 20 & 24 but they grew up on Ole Yellar and the old Walt Disney (WD)movies. I feel anything Michael Eisner of WD produces today is suspect. I would definitely check it out before allowing my children to take it in.

Both my sons are well adjusted, clean cut All-Americans. The extra effort paid off! God Bless!

Y'know, Jack Chick might just have a point (besides the one on his cranium). When I was a kid, I did put an 8-inch gash in my left hand with my Boy Scout pocketknife while carving a bar of Irish Spring soap just like the guy did on TV.

Good thing Harry Potter wasn't around back then. I'd have turned myself into a toad by now for sure.

"But let's give Jack Chick the credit he was due---He was the FIRST to expose Halloween."

Um, not even close, PJ. Not even remotely close.

But hey........all harmless fun, right? No sweat. I think it's just ducky that this Madison Avenue / Hollywood / publishers' row juggernaut is capturing the hearts and minds of young and old. Yessir. I think it's just cooler'n all livin' s**t that the occult is getting its heyday. Shoot, after all.........Harry's just a kid, right?

Lordie Lordie, how so many of y'all.........nice folks, DECENT folks that you are (and I'm not being in the slightest sarcastic) can be and are showing yourselves to be so unbelievably EASY to manipulate.

If I ever wanted to take over the West, I'd eschew military means entirely and focus on pure psyops. Piece of bloody cake.

Ya know, I was about to post a huge analyzation of his article (like I usually do on these Harry Potter threads) until I came to the I'm-a-complete-idiot-and-it-was-almost-too-late realization that Jack Chick is one maraschino cherry short of a fruitcake.

'Saw the Movie Saturday AM.

I INSTANTLY recognized the "Theme!"

The "Conflict" was between "Morality," & "Moral Relativism!"

The "Final Conflict" of the movie OPENLY STATES that the "Bad Guy" regards "Good & Evil" as relative concepts!

The story is a classic "Morality Play,"--in the tradition of ALL good Fantasy & SF stories!

ANYONE who has a "Problem with" this movie (a pure, delightful, Moral Fantasy,) has a "Problem" created by a philosophical "Agenda!"

The Movie reinforces classic "Judeo-Christian Values" admirably!------the BAD GUY was arguing that "Good & Evil" were relative terms; Harry Potter REJECTED that argument!

The Movie was a delightful fantasy which REINFORCED the concept that THERE IS "GOOD vs. EVIL!"

I Watched it----I Liked it!

"Children as young as kindergarten are being introduced to human sacrifice, the sucking of blood from dead animals, and possession by spirit beings."

Awww, cammon, there is nothing wrong with that! It is harmless family entertainment. Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be juuuuust fine. (diabolical laugh in the background)

I once thought that by using a mere towel and diaper pin, I could indeed fly off the top of the garage just like Superman.

I amd my two brothers came home from watching "Peter Pan" (the original cartoon version, not that horrible Robin Williams thing) and I was convinced I could leap from furniture to top of door to tip of roof, defying gravity like Peter.

My mother was not amused with the furniture part.

Harry Potter provides a basic initiation into witchcraft for a whole new generation. Imagine what the world will be like when they grow up.

All those people flying around on broomsticks are going to be really annoying! ;-)
