This is what kills me about our press here in the U.S. They are so easily distracted from the real story. We could have the President of the United States selling Nuclear Secrets to the Red Chinese for campaign funds, and a simple diversion like an unsavory affair conducted in the Oval Office between the President and an Intern divert their attention away from what is the real threat to our security. :-)

Hmmm. Since we are indulging in idle speculation, I will point out that there is also a possibility that the anthrax came from the left, allowing democrats to claim victimhood and get their faces before cameras. Anthrax to the media draws attention to this situation, and anthrax to Daschle and Leahy (not the most charismatic of talkers) allows one to think that perhaps my theory is correct.

I still like the theory one freeper put up last night....that the terrorists (located in New Jersey, remember) picked the names off the front page of the New York Times. That would explain Leahy especially.
