All Your Base is one of those internet phenomenons that it takes about three looks at to "get." After that it gets funnier and funnier until it palls. Then something comes up (Like the one that somebody did putting Bush and Powell's face in the flash movie) that just makes it funny again.

The best model for a new Afghani government is not the American one, but the Swiss.

Interesting idea.

If I remember correctly GW said in his early speech to both Houses of Congress that reluctant nations would begin to join the coalition as time went on...I'm expecting that this ongoing victory in Afghanistan will inspire some states like Egypt and Saudi Arabia to get on board while there's still room on the bus...

they will probably jump in now that we have momentum and try to deal with their home-grown terrorists or else they may be looking at financial ruin...no European tourists to Egypt...no Saudi or Egyptian planes allowed to travel to Europe or the US...frozen bank accounts...don't you just love it when a plan comes together?

I absolutely agree with you. Canton-based government is by far the best solution. The Swiss model could help any number of nations around the world.

I gather that's not the small isolated region in the north that the Taliban's still defending. I was wondering what the importance of that was. Anyway, I hope our forces jump ahead of the alliance so that they can go after the part of the Taliban that's most likely running away fastest-the Taliban leadership.

Seriously, track him to one area of caves, nuke that area, and wait for the radiation to do the work.

This is great news! Does this mean that our terrorism is over??

Maybe, maybe not.
But I hope the Al Queda and Taleban guys don't have claustrophobia.
Otherwise, they are not going to enjoy their last hours or days dying in a blocked-up cave
with thousands of their similarly-situated terrorists/sadists.
