Gene Lyings is a vomitous bootlicking Clowntoon dung beetle. Someone had better tell him that his little Rapist Fuehrer has been thrown out of the WH and the Supreme Court Bar.
To: DCBryan1
First he says:
A next-day account in the Times was misleadingly headlined, "Clinton says U.S. is paying for its past."
Then later he says:
He did say that this country is "still paying a price" for its past. Who can deny it?
Gene Lyons manages to contradict himself in his own article. What a dolt.
This guy should be the first person put on trial under the new Military Tribunal order signed by Bush. Take the guy out and shoot him, he deserves it for supporting that Pervert President with these dribbling diatribes.

I worked hard for eight years Ever notice how loud people, who don't work hard, shout that they do actually work hard?

Lyons is convinced, as is Clinton, that we are "still paying a price" for some past historical sins. But unlike Clinton, Lyons begs the question, "Paying to whom?"
At least Clinton's implication was that America is paying to the terrorists. In a perverse way, he is a more intellectually honest liar than Gene Lyons.

Well, we are still paying for the "sin" of slavery. Look at the massive and never-ending welfare programs that the libs have forced upon us with their guilt trips. Look at the calls for massive reparations and don't think it can't happen. Who could have thorught 30 years ago that affirmative action would become permanently institutionalized? Will this paying for slavery ever end?
To: DCBryan1
How long will right-wingers (i.e. people who cherish human freedom) continue to attack Bill Clinton's legacy? Until he's six feet under. And then we'll line up to pay our last respects.
The crack-pot ideologues of the far right are shameless, relentless and well-funded.
What do you mean, WELL-FUNDED? I haven't received my check for months.

yanking partial quotes out of context Leftists would NEVER do that, would they? Anybody remember Newt Gingrich, Social Security, "whither on the vine", etc.?
To: DCBryan1
LOLO anyone else notice the list the left loves to hate is getting longer and longer.
To: DCBryan1
At no point did Clinton suggest any causal or moral connection whatsoever between America's ancient sins and contemporary terrorist acts.Is Gene Lyons really this stupid? How about this quote from the speech, Gene: "Those of us who come from various European lineages are not blameless." If you look up the definition of the word, blame, a "connection" is unescapable.

"Clinton brought up past atrocities only to illustrate his point that terrorism is morally abhorrent and militarily futile."
He did say that this country is "still paying a price" for its past. Who can deny it? AND THE POINT IS??????????
Okay, he did say terrorism is wrong. Good boy.
BUT, he doesn't seem to get it: saying that terrorism is wrong does not vindicate HIM from HIS role in leading to its advancement. Sheesh, most murderers know that murder is wrong, Bill. But the guilty are still guilty.

http://GOPportal.com/video/billclinton.html... check out this link to the video of Klintoons speach. He was obviously drunk when he said these things too. If we are paying for our past sins, I cannot wait for his Kharma to kick in..or perhaps it has..and he's now turned into a raging alcoholic since he's no longer in the spot light.

Also as usual, the immediate target was Bill Clinton. Because he won't shut his big fat mouth! He makes race-baiting speeches about how the slave trade and occupation of these lands were both forms of "terrorism," and partially-responsible for the attacks on 9/11, yet he won't admit that he completely sucked as President, promised to bring Bin Laden to justice, and FAILED!
Of course we "crazed right-wingers" will continue to "savage" Clinton, because the truth hurts. But, as usual, liberals don't let the facts get in the way of their agenda.
