Once again, I believe this "tactic" of using FDR as a precedent is what Limbaugh calls, "Illustrating Absurdity by being Absurd." If followed through on properly by this Administration or the next, after the "War on Terrorism" has been won, we should see a "Patriot's Return to Normalcy Act" that will repeal all these "temporary" infringements on our Normal Civil Liberties, as well as many other infringements that have cropped up over the years, like those instituted as part of the absolute FAILURE called "The War on Drugs."

That there is the biggest indictment of the bill, IMHO. Just like the old trick of calling something a "Civil Rights Bill," everybody was simply afraid to Vote against a "Patriot's Bill" in the present climate and some things got put into the bill that went over the top.

You are so right about FDR being idolized. My dad couldn't stand the fellow. FDR was the one who had everybody's gold taken away in 1933 through the Bank Holiday Act of 1933 from March 3-6, 1933. All the gold was confiscated from people's holdings. FDR was a commie traitor scrathing the enemies back. He was helping with the funding the German war as well as negotiating with Stalin and Trotsky.

IMHO, Osama's Bil Clinton is an ENEMY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and to quote George Bush about a related matter yesterday, "People keep telling me to "MOVE ON", but I'm not about to "MOVE ON!!" " That young man, Dubyuh, has got hisself some gumption!!
