When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
when you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on,
Don't let yourself go, everybody cries
and everybody hurts sometimes...
Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along.
When your day is night alone,
if you feel like letting go,
when you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on...
Everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends.
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand.
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
when you think you've had too much of this life to hang on.
Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes.
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on...
BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Good times...

Doesn't 'yoghurt' have active cultures? Bioterrorism, dude!

He is obviously lactose-intolerant ...a huge financial windfall from the airline might ease the pain he has suffered...

How could they let him have 15?
Why is no one blaming whoever sold him or gave him the booze?

at another point on the eight and a half hour flight, the millionaire, who is a father of two, mistook the hostess trolley for a CD player and tried to insert a disc into it. Hey, it's happened to me...

At one stage, it was claimed, after drinking wine for three hours with his tour manager, Robert Whittaker, and two others, he got stuck between two seats before he was pulled free. They should've just left him there. Then force feed him those little bottles of booze till he passed out. When they land, pull him loose. Course, he's a rock star so his punishment will not be as harsh as any of our's would have been.
So this is what it's like when you lose your religion!

Never heard of him.
He's lucky it was a British plane and not a US carrier,
were he could have killed by the other passengers.

How could he have 15?Well you know how it goes, you sit down and you're shootin' the bull and you can just rip through that crap. I'm not a big wine person but Doc Otis hard lemonade does me that way. I'm ripping away and before you know it there's two of me or something... And cheap-a$$ tequila. Doesn't take as much of that stuff though...

Why is no one blaming whoever sold him or gave him the booze? Give me a break! Granted, he was behaving in a childish manner, but that doesn't make him a child. You have to give individuals the chance to screw up their own lives, preferably in a public manner so that we can point and laugh at them.

Why is no one blaming whoever sold him or gave him the booze? Thank God for small favors. I hate things like making bartenders responsible for the actions of a drunk. No one is responsible for anyone else.

Good song in light of recent events, but I think "Pop Song 89" captures Pete Buck's mindset on that BA flight a lot better:
"Hello, how are you? I know you, I knew you
"I think I can remember your name, name, name, name...
"Hello, I'm sorry, I lost myself
"I think I thought you were someone else...."

No one is responsible for anyone else.Yep, my slightly lib tendencies make me want to jump on that bandwagon... There's something in me, maybe Puritan-ethic-conservative bubbling up, or maybe just bad spaghetti for lunch, that says I am sort of my brother's keeper in that I wouldn't want someone's death or horrible maiming on my conscience just because I refused to take a stand and be proactive on something...

i agree. this poor man, whom many of us is ridiculing, is a victim of his environment. as a multi-millionaire, he can have anything he wants. as a rock star, he believes that everyone worships the ground that he walks on. further he was in first class for 8.5 hours where the drinks are free. is it his fault that he took advantage of the situation?
shame on you all -- he has feeling too!

Buck and REM haven't been relevant since 1990. The stardom come down must really be a bummer.

Good one. Actually it's been a while since I sat down and listened to some tunes... I've been on the country music stations for some time now, haha! Ain't that the hair on a chicken's teeth. Check out the latest album, "Reveal"-- it sucks even harder than "Up"... It's those mid-to-late-year albums I dig the hardest-- Out of Time, Green, Monster, Automatic (of course), New Adventures, Life's Rich Pageant... [sigh]
