"Do we intend to simply continue to satisfy our need to express our outrage by useless postings? At what point do we direct this common spirit into political (and non-violent) activism?" Well thank you for letting us know your opinion of Free Republic, Jim and the Freepers.

Reality is a stern taskmaster. Firstly, no president in history has ever allowed investigation of a former president. Most often for good reasons.
Secondly, as for activism, I agree with your premise, but again reality gets in the way. It takes money, time, people and dedication, FR has none of these in hand.

I don't get it - this is the extent of your comments pertaining to all that was stated? This was a call to action, not a criticism. Sorry if you felt personally challenged.

In this age, perhaps money is less necessary - we have free access to internet publication. We have media attention. Reality changes as forces move it in a particular direction. Don't give up.
As for history, no former president investigated by next Prez. But this is unlike any other former president. If not now calling for change, then what?

Posting information is a vital first step in educating people about important matters. Many grass root activities have been organized as a result of articles posted on Free Republic. What activities have you participated in as a result of FR.?

Personally I found your post "uninformed", since you don't seem to have any idea of what Freepers have actually done. As to "challenged", I was merely being "polite".

I agree, but the intent was not to trade activism stories, but instead, to engender a common form of support for common ideals repressented here. I am frustrated with the strength of the opinions and the corresponding weakness of the action leading to constructive change.
We agree on the value of posting, but it relies on follow-up action, which I am seeking Jim's help in promoting

What is productive about your reply? Do you view me as insincere, or are you more interesting in defending the status quo?
Please focus on my intent, as uninformed as it may seem. Can't we do more than yak?

Well said! I suppose we rail against the Clintons because doing so does serve our need for catharsis when we feel so frustrated that the criminals are allowed to go free, when instead they should be incarcerated.
So, does anyone have any intelligent and workable ideas that we can implement to see to it that justice is served?
To: Dixielander
thanks dixie - I really seek Jim to address this, and of course, I would volunteer to help organize. But I admit/confess to being no leader. But I would be there to be involved. How does one directly address Mr. Robinson?
I wonder if those in the media that acknowledge FR would help - Rush, Sean, Mike, etc...and how about Ms. Coulter?

Money...Perhaps you recall the two ads from long ago that FR had in the Washington Times. Getting the money was worse than pulling hens teeth. The end result was worth it as it got FR put on the cyber map.
Presidential sins...Never ever trust any politician, of any stripe, to leave office with clean skirts, it has never happened.

From your lips to God's ears. You are absolutely correct in your assessment of the clinton crimes going unpunished. I too would like to see more activism on this board. I do my part by calling and e-mailing President Bush to bring the clintons to justice. I have tried every angle I can think of. My latest is to tell him that because the clintons have been let off the hook and set up in splendor by our government, the terrorists could use that as evidence of our unworthiness and of us being infidels to the followers in the Muslim world. I am angry Fox, Rush and every other conservative bastion for not going after the Vince Foster murder. That alone should sink these evil clintons. But everybody zips up when it is mentioned. I just keep hammering away at phone calls and e-mails. That's all I can think to do. If all of us did that, perhaps we might make some headway but I don't see if happening.

You might consider getting involved in the FR Chapter in your area. Jim Rob could probably help you with location and members. Freeper protests, rallies and activities are going on all over the place.

We have volume, we have numbers, we do not need to pay for ads. We have media attention. We might benefit from organizing as we obtain the free press!!
As for your comment about it always being this way with past politicians, it seems almost to play into the hands of the "everybody does it" and the "let's just move along" crowd...
