Vegas was great fun.....

I actually came home with $400 more than I took. All in all it was a very good trip.

I learned a new game to play. It is called 3 card poker.

lol-when I was stationed in the FRG,we used to get what were called "chemlights". A shot of vodka,a shot of tequila, and a shot of this green bananna flavored liquer they called "Pisang Ambron". All in a tall glass on the rocks, and leveled up with tonic water.

The hell of it was that the things tasted great. Not sugary, and really pleasant,BUT...the bananna flavoring killed all the alchohol taste, which wasn't good. You could get 5 or 6 of these things down before it sunk in just how much liquor you'd swilled, and by then, alas,it was too late.

You done good! When I was married to my first husband, I used to drive to Vegas with three of my friends once a year in early spring to get away from our husbands and kids for about four days. We'd take about $400.00 each to gamble with, go to a show or two, etc. I came home ahead a few times, but now we are all remarried to men we don't want to get away from-so it is just a fond memory....

You'll have to wait at least 8 years until we get the other two out of college.

Whoof! That sounds dangerous. Sort of like a drink popular with college girls (when I was one) called a Golden Cadillac which was made with this sweet stuff called Galliano, and (I think) brandy. Tasted great, but knocked you on your ass, which is why the guy you were out with would encourage you to drink it. One bad morning after was enough for me-never touched the damned stuff again.

I live in a college town, and last year, all the co-eds were drinking "lunchboxes". Those are 1/2 beer,1/2 orange juice and a shot of amaretto thrown in for luck. I gagged when they told me what was in the things, but these little 75 pound college girls could down 5 or 6 without flinching. I don't think I could have managed to get one of the things down and hold on to supper. I had always known that women can tolerate a lot of stuff that men can't,but that took the cake.

Yes, they are...We often talk about how much fun it was when we get together at our homes for dinner or holiday parties. Our husbands seem bewildered when we start laughing and talking about those trips-sometimes they don't seem to comprehend our lives before they came along. I guess it's a guy thing......
