Red Cell managed to sieze a boomer at Groton, so yes it can be done. I am more worried about them jumping onto an LNG tanker 15 minutes from port and ramming downtown at 25 knots. Or jumping right into the center of a nuke plant and destroying the backup generators and water pumps.

Red Cell managed to sieze a boomer at Groton, so yes it can be done.

And the SSBN Security Program Office funding got quadrupled immediately afterwards, just to keep the smug little so-and-so running the place (who most folks believe gave Red Cell some detailed scoop about procedures) from saying "I TOLD YOU SO" to Congress.

Forgot the guy's name (it wasn't DeMars, he replaced Rickover at Naval Reactors) but the Admiral at SSPO back then was a bureaucratic fighter par excellance, and he got what he wanted--a TON of stuff to stop an attack with. BTW, I seem to recall that Marcinko's folks swam on up and didn't jump.

I am more worried about them jumping onto an LNG tanker 15 minutes from port and ramming downtown at 25 knots.

15 minutes out, that bad boy is going to be in the hands of the tugs and just about pierside...the only way you'd get it up to 25 knots is with a Saturn V first stage. But just blowing it up pierside would be bad enough--the LNG facilities ashore would probably go in a sympathetic detonation, and you'd probably go up to the ten kiloton mark right there. Don't need to get it downtown then, you've probably wrecked the entire waterfront. And for that, you don't need the complication of an airborne assault--just get people inside the fence at the LNG facility.

Or jumping right into the center of a nuke plant and destroying the backup generators and water pumps.

The only effect of this at a U.S. commercial plant (or even a weapons plant) would be to trash the reactor core itself--the only way you get a meltdown sufficient to blow out the containment is with reactor fuel that's already bomb-grade to start with. The only folks crazy enough to do that are Russia and China--Russia doesn't believe in containment, and China likes the high energy density you get from bomb-grade fuel. Of course, if they ever have an oopsie they're going to have generations of FLKs...

There are too many targets to list them all.

Have you read about the arabs in the fake USCG boat in West Va casing the chemical plants? No urban legend, I'll ping you.

So what do you propose to replace capitalism and thus save democracy? Or do you believe that radical Islam is the ideology of the future?

There is healthy greed or I think that people wouldn't strive for improving things. However the type of greed that would allow your brothers to die as long as you gain is sick and a sin. We have too many in our country ready to sell us out to the enemy.

Wow..I have to think about what you wrote, because off the top of my head I would say greed is never "healthy"..but I would agree that a desire to improve ones lot in life is..I need to figure out if there is a difference..UMMMMMMM

Don't know what it means, but on Sunday a.m. I was watching a CNN piece about the dilemma of Musharraf in Pakistan--vocal minority supporting the Taliban and hogging all the camera time from the silent majority who supported Musharraf and the U.S. A few brief sentences in the piece revealed something that almost made me fall out of my chair. A Paki newspaper, said the reporter, had published an article exhorting the restless crowd to be patient for "just five more days," at which time another strike was to take place within the United States. A commando-style raid, the article said, but the reporter didn't elaborate further. A commando-style raid on American soil by supporters of the Taliban. Five days from the publication of the article (Friday) will be tomorrow, Wednesday the 7th.

What do you envision as a commando-style raid? I see parachuters or SWAT-like assaults on power plants or government buildings, maybe someplace high-profile with lots of important hostages. Read the story about the West Virginia power plant whose lone (unarmed?) female security guard happened to stumble on a couple of foreign-speaking intruders who had entered the grounds via the river. The land access was heavily fortified and well-guarded, but the river side of the power plant was wide open. There's some subversive activity continuing here right under our noses, and yet the "buy a new car, go shopping!" crowd keeps saying that all the suspicious activity points to absolutely nothing. I will say, however, that this waiting for the other shoe to drop is a bit nerve-wracking. Could be seeing goblins in the closet that aren't really there, but I don't think that's the case.

Understand that the State Department can't find its own butt with a map and a nine-man working party.

Sure they can. Their top ass right now happens to be named "Powell".

We're apparently the only ones on this thread interested in Michael Riconosciuto of Octopus/PROMIS fame mentioned in your post #52, but... FWIW there's an update at http://www.mindgallery.com/hiddenroom/wizard/:

Michael Riconosciuto issues an alert to terrorist threat

NOW HE IS IN THE HOLE at Springfield, MO.!!

Urgent! This is a request to the American people to assist in their own salvation.

The recent terror attacks were the first part of an effort to target aircraft for terrorist purposes. 37 surface to air missiles have been/are being transported from Canada to the US for the purposes of shooting down aircraft over highly populated areas.

More information has been given by Michael regarding a germ attack! A militarized hybrid form of anthrax which is contagious and approximately 100 times more deadly than the anthrax which has been used thus far is slated for release. This hybrid is designed to escape detection! In the event of an outbreak, people are advised to stock up on food and water and stay away from crowds. The less physical contact we have the more protection we will have against spreading it. Authorities are working on it and have been given information which may help them break the terrorist ring, but they may be too late to stop this phase of the attack.

Please do not let your children eat halloween candy! A suspicious death in Vancouver is causing alarm bells to ring. There is a good chance it is a tragic coincidence, but it is being treated as murder and the cause of death has so far eluded investigators.

These documents show the efforts of Michael Riconosciuto to alert authorities to impending assaults. Now communications with Michael are cut off as he was attempting to reveal major details about the terrorist networks!

How long Michael can live in the hole when he is already ill, we don't know, but it is no way to treat a sick man, and no way to treat a hero who is attempting to stop a disaster!

I noticed another update. The paragraph about a case in Vancouver got changed to:

"The suspicious death of a child in Vancouver is not being attributed to a bio attack, but it is being treated as murder and the cause of death has so far eluded investigators. The four year old child died hours after eating halloween candy."

This N2 Solution is also in Delaware:

University of Delaware

For senior Howard Hsu, summer employment meant working as a chauffeur and entertainer for a group of students from the United Arab Emirates.

"I worked for a company called N2 Solutions," he says. The company holds a program that gives 16-to 18-year-old Arabs the opportunity to come to the United States and train as pilots while taking classes to improve their English education.

Hsu says he heard about the program through friends while working at Clayton Hall.

"They told me there was this program where all I would have to do is drive around students, hang out in their dorms and provide entertainment for them while they take classes," he says.

Working for N2 Solutions during summer 2000, Hsu says he made more than $400 per week just to "hang out" with the group. He says the company provided him with a touring van as well as a stipend to entertain about 10 teen-agers.

"During the week, I would take them to McDonald's and the movies," Hsu says. "On weekends, we all would go on day trips to amusement parks.

"I remember a night when I accidentally left one of the students at the movies," he says, "and I went back to get him at 12:00 a.m. when I figured out we were short a person -- they weren't too happy with me."
