I saw the pitch and noticed her sitting. Here's what it looked like: she had her son on her lap and was also taking a photo. From a distance on tv, it was hard to see, but that's what it looked like to me. (I'm no Rosie-defender in general, but just to be fair, that's what it looked like.)

Admittedly, she's holding a camera and maybe a small child, but she could have been standing and done that (my grandma could roll tortillas with one kid in her, one kid on her, and still simultaneously spot another of her kids getting in trouble and swat said kid on the fanny without skipping a beat).

Your grandma sounds like a terrific lady! I read your personal history on your page--sounds like you've got a great family.

I'm sorry but I don't like Mike Gallagher too much. For one thing, he's done a lot of fear mongering since 911. I actually called into his show a few weeks ago because he was ranting about the F-16s escorting commercial jets who have reported trouble onboard. He was spinning some ridiculously simplistic scenario where the commercial pilot gets nervous and turns left instead of right and the fighter jocks take the airliner out. While the fighters would shoot the airliner down if they had to, that would only happen after the airliner missed a series of commands, clearly demonstrating the pilot is not in control.

There have been other incidents where he doesn't know what he's talking about but that doesn't prevent him from blathering on in a nearly hysterical manner. The guy has zero background for commenting on serious issues and doesn't impress me that he's got a towering intellect, either.

I could give a rat's *ss what Rosie O'Donnell thinks about any subject. I think Gallagher is trying to manufacture a public row with her because she's an easy target and he thinks it will increase his exposure. They're both nobodies in my book.

IF, INDEED, Rosie said she likes Bush, then maybe we should be magnanimous winners! However, querying her for more information IS fair game.........it would be delicious to make her eat her previously barbed words on a national radio show........but I wouldn't be nasty about it.

Besides, maybe the 5 hotdogs, 6 bags of peanuts and 3 large Cokes (before the game even began) were a contributing factor to her not standing up. LOL. (Flame away)

Hi, I know, the whole thing has been blown out of proportion, and I think it's due to Rosie. She may just have been trying to take a picture, and she had her son on her lap. But I think when she had the chance to tell the truth about it to Dennis Prager, she lied, to paraphrase it: "I LOVE and respect the President, and I was standing." She said she turned to her son and said, "Honey, I love him now."

I think she lied because she knows that the Pres is wildly popular now. If she had just said something like, "I wanted to sit, but ..." But instead, she lied and Mike was upset because he respects Dennis Prager, he has said over & over that he's a "legend."

And so now, I think this will bring Rosie far more negative publicity than it would have if she had just admitted the truth. Reminds me of Hitlery running into the police and not calling to admit & apologize. ersMike was upset because

He was on a local channel last year. He's a coward. He probably has security in the room just to talk to Rosie. I actually yelled Yippee! the day I found he had been dumped.

Is the consumer advice guy Clark Howard? (ClarkHoward.com) He is really good. Ya he's dull, but his advice is outstanding. Though I disagree with him about leasing autos. I love leasing.

I agree with you on that--he's afraid about anthrax, about the commercial flights, etc. etc. And I also agree with the other poster that he tends to repeat himself, & talk about his house too much. I just tune him in while driving--keeps me in touch with the U.S., and many times, he's had me laughing out loud. He was good during the election crisis. And it could be he's manufacturing this, but I think he's pretty honest, I think he's just upset because he didn't want Dennis Prager to think badly of him.

I'm usually the last one on the planet to defend Rosie, but I taped W and his first pitch. I also thought that she was simply sitting in protest (which the video clearly shows) but my husband pointed out that she was clearly videotaping and also had one of her kids on her lap. Don't know if this is an excuse, but could explain things. If it was me, however, I still would have been able to hold my kid, a videocamera and stand!

To be quite honest, I really don't know. I only catch him on the drive home from work. But that sounds about right. I wish I could listen to him longer (I'm actually talk-radio deprived because my car is the only place I get to listen, all the computer hardware at my work interferes with any AM radio signal)

Me too! I've e-mailed the station and told them I've had to go back to NPR--and it's all their fault.
