I totally agree. I had him a zillion years ago and I still remember dozens of his lectures.
I also get at least one hand typed letter a week. Someday these will be published.

As a PhD candidate, myself, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a very liberal environment that dominates academia. I have some ideas as to why that is, but that is beyond the scope of this thread . . . There's something else that dominates. It's called club membership. I prefer an honest liberal over a dishonest conservative.
