I say we include the Red Cross on the EVILDOERS list.

This is unacceptable. They'd better get the money to the victims families pronto.
I'm not putting another penny into a single thing for the Red Cross until they ammend their priorities.

Salvation Army. This just made 9/11 even worse if that possible...

I would also be checking into how many of the administrators buy new houses and cars in the coming weeks.

$29 million for "indirect" or administrative relief costs. IE: raises and bonuses for the board members.
We need to DEMAND a FULL ACCOUNTING of their "administrative" costs, etc.
These people are thieves.
To: CommiesOut
This is sickening..a bunch of self important bureaucrats (the board) who have betrayed the donors. The Red Cross is full of PR Spin, and has been for years. They are more interested in having the funds to provide themselves with a "paying position" than those in need.

It seems if you gave to the Red Cross that you were double-crossed.

I agree, funds for the victims of 9/11 should NOT be comingled with other Red Cross funds or used for other Red Cross programs. If one dollar is diverted, the Red Cross should be shut down permanently.

Isn't the Red Cross also in charge of the money sent by the children of the US to the children of Afghanistan?

Who would shut them down? Are they under the scrutiny of any agencies? I think the last time one of them was caught in their thievery was when the United Way president was investigated by the IRS. Maybe the IRS is the watchdog we need to freep.
