But if they come in on tourist visas, they would miss out on the "start-up funds" that refugees get. Someone, try and find out how much each refugee gets handed to them. Is it 30K? 50k? This is top secret info. And what about the free housing, food stamps and medicaid? Thanks Catholic Charities for your good work. My friend in Minnesota says they are innundated with Somalians. They collect welfare there, then go apply for asylum in Canada and collect welfare there too. Double dippers. And let us not forget, our poor NY refugee, Amadou Diallo. When his asylum claim was investigated after his death, it was found that he claimed that his mother and father had been murdered. And he had claimed to be from a country other than his true country of citizenship. Funny how the media squashed these facts. Funny how the dead parents showed up in NYC and the mother gets applauded as a speaker at Nassau Comm College. Funny - I thought only Jesus rose from the dead.

Good, if it is true.
Keep them out.
If we can't check them out, they can't come in.

The State Department has made no changes, since 9/11, in allowing foreign nationals into the United States. Who cares about refugees when the real potential murderers are given red carpet treatment? Two weeks ago, fourteen young Syrian males were welcomed into the Dallas area for flight training at local flight schools run by Arabs!
Does 11 million illegal aliens sound like our government cares about the safety of its citizens?
Unbelievable isn't it???
(But, doncha know, IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID!! < /sarcasm >)

F 'em all. We are not the world's nanny. They protest against us, then want to send Grandma here because their stupid socialist, totalitarian government can't take care of it's own people. Let 'em die in their own streets.

Christians and Jews from Moslem countries have a good reason to run away. If we do not let them in, they will be doomed. On the other hand, all other refugee from Moslem countries, reguardless of their reason, should never be allowed in. The refugee avenue for entering the US was used by some of the terrorists of Sept 11. Our stupid INS, must understand that Moslem people who were born in Islamic countries are typically exposed to constant bombardement of hate to the big saten America! So regardless of their reason for wanting to come here, it would be stupid to let them in here. You can not cleanse their hearts from hate! This morning on NPR, a reporter was interviewing Afganistan refugees, who have been living in California for almost ten years, these Women, said that they support the Talibans ! Now, if you are part of this country, and exposed to our media reporting on the beating and torture of women in Afganistan by the Talibans, and you are still supporting the Talibans! I would get the INS to deport these ungratefull bi--- out of here!

What is in effect a temporary moratorium on refugee admissionsUntil this reads 'a permanent halt', our country will continue its down slide.

Refugees at America's Door Find It Closed After Attacks Tough. We're busy. We have dead to bury. Go cry on someone else's shoulder. We've got a war to fight.
Take your poor, your tired, your huddled a$$es back to the cesspool you came from. I lift the middle finger of my right hand beside the golden door.

Question for Freepers! Throughout New York and New Jersey, every gas station, newspaper stand and convenience store is now owned by someone from the Middle East. Is it the same way nationwide? Where do these immigrants get the money to buy their own businesses?

A s many as 20,000 refugees from across the world, cleared to come to the United States to escape persecution in their homelands, have had their arrival here delayed indefinitely in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Another batch of bogus "refugees" who had to lie to exploit American immigration laws. I've seen quite a few of those "refugees", and not one of them had it worse than any other citizen of those countries they "fled". What now, import the whole populations of other countries?

Incredible. Isn't there a legal vehicle -- Writ of Mandamus -- that can be served against public officials to FORCE them to do their jobs? It would appear the INS needs such a writ shoved under their door.
