I am not unfamiliar with the accusation that the APA was "infiltrated" with homosexuals and that this infiltration led to the removal of homosexuality from the list of mental disorders, but I've never seen any credible documentation of such -- or any documentation of such.

Such documentation was supplied, then you changed your focus.

Does anyone have any documentation regarding the alleged riots or harassment by homosexual activists prior to the APA's removal of homosexuality from the DSM?

It would seem that you have undertaken a strategy of endlessly demanding readily available documentation only to then demand more of the same. Now that you have recieved the originally requested documentation, are you now willing to acknowledge that homosexual activists did undermine having homosexuality rightly regarded as a mental disorder?

If not, providing you with more reading material would appear to be an exercise in futility.

And don't think for a moment that we don't know that you are simply another pro-homo cheerleader attempting to mask your true agenda.

I'm hetrosexual. I'm conservative, and last time a drunk fag got in my face I broke his nose. So there.

I am happy to hear that you are very confident in your masculinity. Your readiness with your fists definitely proves that your manliness is beyond reproach. Bravo, I say, for you!

However, this is a forum for political and social discussions. You may find a more receptive audience for your boasts on the chat room at www.wwf.com.

Dear, Devil

Your posting would be much more effective if you
post your reply to the actual person that typed
the comment that you refer to.  I only bumped
the article for my later reference, yet your post
made it seem as if I had said that trash that you
found exception to.   Please be more careful
next time.

this "person" may claim to be a conservative, but they can only claim to be an economic conservative. A social conservative, by definition, can not be "queer" and vice versa. Besides, why does he have to "be in my face" if they get too close to me or my kids i will really "be in their face" (as in, a quick right cross applied to nose breaking it with force)

Notice that the author defines the word "fag" and notice also that he makes a distinction between the words "fag" and "faggots":

As defined by Webster’s a fag is basically a hard working person at a menial task, or a British cigarette. But as any read-blooded American boy knows, the term fag is more nuanced than that.

I’ve been conservative for as long as I can remember. For as long as I can remember I have been gay and queer. And yes I am a fag, not a faggot, but a fag.

Meaning, the author is not gay!

Can it be used to refer to a homosexual? Sure. More often than not it is used to refer to someone who, for lack of a better word, is being a jerk, as in, “You stupid fag,” which is often shouted by folks during rush hour traffic. It is also commonly used as a good-natured jab against a friend who is known (at least presumed) to be heterosexual. “Hey fag, pass me a beer,” or after a particularly good move on the basketball court, “YOU FAG!” In the real world the word hardly has any meaning beyond that.

What concerns me most, however, is the loss of acceptable vulgar putdowns from our public lexicon. If “fag” is no longer an acceptable insult what else is on the endangered list? What is to become of the world when we are no longer free to scream “You Cocksucker” at the guy who cuts us off in traffic?

It is unfortunate that most people either didn't read or misread the article. Its main point was how shameful that the U.S. Navy had to write a letter apologizing for an “anti-gay” epithet ("HIGHJACK THIS FAGS" written on the bomb) scrawled on a bomb intended for a target in Afghanistan!

This is what was supposed to be discussed.
