How about we deport them and prevent their re-entry into the country? This is a war, isn't it? How about we just ban Islamics from entering the country during this war? How about we ban Islamics from flight schools and military training at Pensacola Air Force Base? But no, government officials have already assured the Saudi government that Saudi citizens are free to come to America and do whatever they want. Our government isn't interested in ending terrorism. They are only interested in eliminating your rights.


So true. The War on Crime, War on Drugs, and War on Terrorism are all based on government generated fear. They take an issue and rather than solve it they generate a public panic. Somehow the government manages to grow with each new "war". This will only get worse unless we stand up and say no more. Vote them out, all of them, while we still have the right to vote. Find candidates that will do what's best for the American people, rather than what's best for politicians.

Well, we are bombing a country. And we are talking about occupying it, removing its sovereign government and putting in our puppet government.

I wish. I've got a bad feeling that we'll be replacing the taliban crazies with northern alliance crazies. We could leave the country just as terrorist friendly as it is now.

There's no need to embarrass our leaders by pointing out the flaws in our society that they're aware of and dealing with in their own way. Some people just enjoy finding fault with our leaders! They're anarchists, they're trouble makers or they're simply just unpatriotic

Ymani, you know what it is really interesting? In my Federal Taxation class (my instructor is a socialist BTW *barf*), I brought up the Patriot Act, and this woman who is a hopeless liberal echoed the exact same sentiment I did! She said "We live in a police state". So, perhaps this Bill could possibly unite the libs with us to do something about it. (Then once we have a tea party, we can go back to bickering.) Although, her reaction did surprise me. My class is full of foreigners, so I didn't go on a diatribe about our inept INS. I'd only had one cup of coffee and just didn't have the will to face a rabid mob.
