I stand up for what I think is right. If you don't like it, that's tough.

    And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
  1. All believers are equal in the site of God, but they all have different vocations (See St. Paul's writings on there being different parts, but one body). A woman's vocation does not include the priesthood, and that's pretty explicit in both scripture and tradition. On the other hand, a man's vocation cannot include motherhood.

    A man cannot (yet) physically give birth while a woman can certainly physically serve in any religious capacity that a man can. Yet you will not treat them the same. Slaves/servants are not treated the same as the masters.

  2. The priest's status is not above that of a layman (or laywoman). Both are equal in the eyes of God. Neither is more blessed or loved by God.

    Yet their portion among the people is different.

  3. You might argue that Jewish Christians have a different vocation from Gentile Christians, and that would be consistent with the equality of all Christians, but there is nothing in neither Scripture nor Tradition that would support this theory.

    What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way:

  4. Why would he not refer to himself as such? I don't get your point.

    He remains an Israelite yet calls you a Gentile.

  5. When did I say there is no nation of Israel? Of course, the ethnic group continues to exist,

    You wrote: Hebrews 8 specifically states the Old Covenent has been replaced with the New. The land of Caanan was part of the Old Covenent. The promise of the New Covenent is salvation. Thus again, scripture directly contradicts your case that the Jews are somehow entitled to possess Palestine the land of Israel.

    The the ethnic group nation of Israel continues to exist and God will never break any of his promises to her. It is a nation Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

  6. 1.Please show me where in scripture or tradition where Christians are commanded to treat Jews who reject Christ with more deference than other non-believers. (I'm not suggesting, BTW, that Christians have lisence to persecute or hate unconverted Jews. My position is merely that we are not called to treat them any differently from other non-Christians; that is to say, we are called to love them and to preach the Gospel to them in the hopes that God may move them to accept their Messiah and savior.)

    When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

    As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

  7. 2. Please show me where in scripture or tradition it is taught that Jewish Christians are more blessed or have a different status than Gentile Christians.

    But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

    No OT citations please, since we are dealing with Jews who rejected the Messiah, and this topic is not addressed in the OT.

    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
