Would that be "Nine Eleven Day" or "Nine One One Day". I lean towards the latter..

Death Warrant Day (the day the Taliban, Al Qaida, and other terrorists or nations sponsoring them signed theirs).

Nugent already suggested this name.

I believe the first Friday Night after 9/11 should be known as "Candle Night," when we as a nation stand outside on our porch and street corners with our candles and flags, waving them at the honking cars as they pass by.

Thanks...
We can mourn on 9/11, but cheer on the Friday night, the Candle Night following.

Homeland Vigilance Day

LOL!

I heard someone on a call-in program today suggest it be called "Patriot Day". He also toyed with "Defiance Day".
To: elenchus
PENNTRADE Day
PENN = plane crash in Pennsylvania
PENNT = phonetic first half of Pentagon
TRADE = you guessed it, World Trade Center
This would be appropriate if we wanted to follow the naming convention of December 7, 1941, which was named for the place of the attack.
I know that there was some early name like this given to the initial investigation. I think it was PENTTBOM.
What do you think?

NINE-ONE-ONE DAY: honor and remembrance for firemen, police officers, emergency workers, volunteers, victims, and families of victims.
