I would not trust any American, born and raised in the US, who converted to Islam. I don't care what the circumstances are, they did this, at least in part out of spite, but definitely not because of any religious conviction. Since it's a false religion, there is no spiritual reason to convert to it whatsoever. I can understand people from another culture, who have not been exposed to Christianity, falling for a false religion, but not an American. With all the exposure here to Christianity, there is no way someone would adopt Islam, except as a protest of some sort.......

We just don't get it. I'm in the U.S. Army stationed in Europe. I was dismayed by the P.C. commercials on the Armed Forces Network (AFN) which started appearing after the WTC ATTACK (it's not a tragedy or disaster, it's an ATTACK!). Anyway, these commercials attempt to show the softer, patriotic side of Muslims in the U.S. armed forces. I consider it ill-timed, insulting, P.C. propaganda.

Why don't I ever see any commericals on AFN proclaiming the great Judeo-Christian heritage of the United States, or how it compares FAVORABLY to the brutal, Muslim dictatorships? Hmmm? I want answers. Now.

I would hate to have to trust a muslim to cover my back were I in harm's way. The muslims are a security risk and I suspect also a morale drag. They should be separated from the service immediatley. What about that US Army sargeant from Eygypt who was involved in the embassy bombings? Would you like to be in a combat situation with someone like that? He would probably frag you or lead you into an ambush on purpose.

I think your comments do not take into account that there are areas in the United States where the teaching of the Bible are not brought into the community effectively. I can take you to neighborhoods all across the North East and Mid-Atlantic states where Christians stay away and make very little impact.

I've seen numerous commercials here in the US of similar content. One that really annoys me has been on FOX lately. Basically, it shows a bunch of muslim americans who each say something like "I'm 1/2 syrian and 1/2 Egyptian, and I'm an American".

What angers me about this is that it represents the typical liberal "template". Namely, that the biggest problem in America is that all of the evil white guys here are about to go off and attack other citizens because of their religion.

The first time I saw this commercial, I shouted at my TV set "Why aren't you making commericials aimed at Muslims? Shouldn't we be broadcasting PSAs telling Muslims not to be hateful and bigoted towards everyone else? After all, it wasn't a bunch of white guys who plowed those planes into the buildings. Why are they preaching at us??

You can't pick and choose what laws and practices you follow. It's the whole kit'n'caboodle or nothing else is going to work.

The problem is in the interpretation. Remember that "innocents" are Muslims. Look closely.

His intention must be to fight for enjoining of the truth and defeating falsehood. It's to prevent aggression on the innocents, or to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice,"

When read from a western Judeo-Christian mindset, this says "fight with the US against the terrorists." When read from a Muslim mindset, it may mean "fight against the infidels for Muslims." The only part of this that I can't easily put a "militant Muslim" interpretation on is "The Muslim soldier must perform his duty in this fight despite the feeling of uneasiness of 'fighting without discriminating'." I assume the 'fighting without discriminating' refers to the idea that a Muslim is supposed to fight infidels only, not other Muslims.

Bottom line, I'm not convinced we can trust them.

I they are conscientious objectors, they should not have joined the U.S. Armed Forces to begin with. Remember, we have an all volunteer military. And no, they do not have a right to refuse to fight just because they don't want to do battle against their fellow muslims. No Christian would be allowed to refuse to fight against their fellow Christians, especially if they were volunteers.

Wasn't there a mutiny aboard a navy ship during the gulf war by some muslims who decided that they did not want to fight against their fellow muslims? I seem to remember hearing something about that at the time.

In other words, they will abide by few (if any) of our laws since Islamic law goes against virtually every freedom and every process of government which our Constitution protects.
