I still say this is "domestic terror." I can think of a LOT of folks who'd love to "terrorize" a Microsoft LICENSING office.

Sony is Japanese though. Is the person mailing the anthrax smart enough to know it though?

I agree. Why would the the terrorists attack the left? The left is their only sympathetic ear in the West. Now they have pissed Tom Brokow off. They are in for some basd press.

"Sony is Japanese though. Is the person mailing the anthrax smart enough to know it though?"Or maybe the person mailing the anthrax is Aum Shinrikyo, and would be just as happy to kill Japanese as Americans.

This has all the earmarks of a Denial of Service attack.
These companies were prolly chosen at random.
This is to deny us the service of the U.S.MAIL
Think about it......havr you looked at a plane the same after Sept 11th...now these letters will you look at your mail the same....???

Maybe it's directed at the due to films Sony/Columbia/TriStar has had?
To: dogbyte12
Probably not ..... if any Japanese were waffling before this I doubt they are now .... as bad as the japs were in WW2 ... even they didn't try this method of warfare on the US.

A letter sent to Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, Calif., tested positive First time I heard it was confirmed, thanks for the update

I suspect that it might be some of those anti-globalization whackos behind this.

All the companies are either media or very large companies..this is designed for maximum media coverage..other than a few people these attacks are not desingned to kill but for exposure.

I can understand this.. considering all the threating letters from Mircosoft and the BSA (Business Software Alliance) I received at my home this year!! All these letters suggesting I better "check" my software licenses or "else" ..

".... as bad as the japs were in WW2 ... even they didn't try this method of warfare on the US."We all know how that ended. Don't be shocked if this ends in a similar fashion. We'll have to use more than two, though.

This is probably the biggest mistake that the Islamic fundamentalists can make. Instead of attempting to divide America to weaken us, they're succeeding in uniting the country and making the radical US left seem like complete idiots to 95% of the US. Fortunately, our enemies are stupid in their overall attack strategy. They're mainly succeeding in creating enough fear to create an angry, very wealthy, very aggressive Republic. That's not a good strategy. Instead of looking at Andalusia and the Crusades for lessons about us, they need to look at our own Civil War or the cities of Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of 1945 to understand what they're unleashing upon themselves.

What domestic group do you think has a wide spread stockpile of anthrax and was ready to start mailing on September 18th?
To: dogbyte12
The primary goal of a terrorist is to strike fear in the hearts of a nation and effectively paralize it. What better way to get press than to send Anthrax to media companies?
I am amazed at the stupidity of these Islamic fundamentalists. They have overplayed their hand. It may take some investment of time and resources, but they will be hunted down and killed
To: SPRINK
Agreed. Remember terrorists objective isn't just causing direct casualites, but rather to spread panick and let the sheeple's fear force them to do stupid things, like allow suspension of liberties or blind rage against muslims.
They know if the general public starts behaving badly and their is a breakdown in order, they have won.
Damn tha bastards, FReep smart people. Liberty has to prevail over evil, it is a moral imparitive.
