""I'll put it to you this way," he said. "You wouldn't want to meet the Gurkhas on a dark night, especially when they've got their bloodlust up.""Memo to bin Laden:
It's up.

My Dream: a Gurkha/Turkish assault. Neither Christian. Let's see the lefties and Islamists handle that one.

Their signature blade is called the kukri. Gurkhas have been known to decapitate their enemies with it (it can also double as a deadly boomerang).
Yeah...I know that stuff...learnt it from a kukribook....

Once in Hong Kong, the Gurkhas stopped a street riot by doing little more than showing up. They formed a single line across a street and drew their kukris. Upon seeing this, the rioters dispersed.

A rational person would NEVER desire to be on the wrong side of the Gurkhas, and this is well proven by their history. There are easier ways of destroying one's self, and far less grisly. They have won the respect and fear of all they have encountered, since the day the British realized it would be much safer to employ them, rather than ever face them in battle. They require little encouragement--just simple orders. "Let's Roll" should do.

Their motto: "It's better to die than be a coward." Ya gotta love it.

I don't think anyone has ever been in more trouble than the Taliban is right now.

BTW, that knife was designed for beheading

25 October, Noon.--No news yet of the ship's arrival. Mrs. Harker's hypnotic report this morning was the same as usual, so it is possible that we may get news at any moment. We men are all in a fever of excitement, except Harker, who is calm. His hands are cold as ice, and an hour ago I found him whetting the edge of the great Ghoorka knife which he now always carries with him.It will be a bad lookout for the Count if the edge of that "Kukri" ever touches his throat, driven by that stern, ice-cold hand!

The problem will not be the quality of the men sent in, but the terrain. Any of you with Fltsim 2000 go to Kabul airport and fly out 300 miles in any direction, some of the roughest terrain in the world, most of its' over a mile high.

I've often felt that we ought to have more Gurkhas and more SAS troops (the latter is going to happen shortly). I take a tremendous amount of pleasure in realising that the Taliban are going to be beheaded by a Hindu weapon, the dreaded Khukuri knife.
Best Regards, Ivan
