You see, this forum is an archiving forum.
that means all posts are archived and saved for our (members) posterity and future use.
So the issue is not one of rights it is one of RESOURCES.
So far this excellent forum has been absolutely free and you are only compelled to donate of your own free will (<sarcasm>and you both donate I'm sure </sarcasm>).
It would be nice to keep it that way so people like you can continue to join and adulterate and ignore the rules...

In the 10 minutes since the President announced that Tom Daschle had received a possible anthrax letter, no less than 10 threads appeared to that effect.

The moderators moved quickly to pull the duplicates and that spawned 4 threads asking what happened to the threads.

Multiple threads on a topic not only waste bandwidth, but spread the discussion over too many threads to follow.

Please, before posting about an event like this (or for any story) do a search. Check the sidebars, or if you have sidebars turned off, refresh the latest articles or latest posts page to see if your topic is already posted.

Because the duplicate threads were coming so fast and there are multiple moderators working, ALL of the posts were deleted at one point and the oldest has been restored.

We also decided to leave a second post, containing a pulished story on the subject in breaking news. Normally it would be better to have the full story added to the original thread, but in this case the original thread had many replies and the full story deserved to be available.

I'm assuming Sesame Street is even in Arabic. Does anyone get the Arabic TV network?

I don't get Arabic TV, but when I lived in Germany, we got TRT, a Turkish channel, as there are a lot of Turks in Germany. They had a Turkish Sesame Street, called Susam Stragi or something like that. I saw it only once, and only for about a minute. All I remember was Big Bird was not yellow, he was red. And of course he was speaking in Turkish.

I never watched English Sesame street when growing up in the States. My parents figured I'd probably learn to read even without the benefits of Children's Television Workshop. So I never watched it or the Electric Company.

Say, this gives me an idea. Why doesn't somebody who's a whiz at Photoshop whip up a nice picture of Osama hanging out at the Playboy mansion surrounded by bikini-clad babes and nursing a martini. Print up a few thousand and air drop them among the faithful. Could be interesting.
