Glenn retired as a Colonel and the prefix "ex" should always be used when referring to him as a Marine. He's a traitor to his country and should be in Leavenworth for aiding and abetting Slick. That puke forgot everything he should have learned at Quantico and is a disgrace to himself and his country.

I'm having a little play on current events.
Falwell, Robertson, Cardinal Egan and other religious leaders point out that "Americans" may be at fault and they are ridiculed. The supposedly military writer of this article points out that "Americans" may be at fault and he will be lauded.
Just an observation. I also fully agree with what the writer has said.
I can feel that flames already LOL.

Well said about Sen. Glenn. I almost vomited when he got that ticker-tape parade in NY.

What can I say? He's right, and I for one accept the rebuke.

This would be quite a project --- but I think it would be worthwhile to pull all of the CSPAN footage and piece together the apathy and totally misguided focus of various members of Congress with regard to funding our military. Let's pull Hillary's footage. This could be an excellent documentary of how we've come to this point in our history as a country.
This letter sent chills down my spine -- how long has this "breaking down" of our military been going on (I know we all have answers to this). And just how far reaching are the implications?
Seems as though all of our enemies are on this bandwagon. Beginning back in the late 60's/early 70's. Think of the damage and amount of compromise that has occurred in the last 40 years.
McCarthy was right -- just as Patton was right (we need to be very careful with Putin -- and China is just sitting back like a vulture ready to swoop in). Why don't/didn't we listen?

"Our schools are handing out automatic weapons!
" That news flash got past me, I'll admit...

The problem is they don't understand that God's Judgement comes upon a
nation as well as upon an
individual.
You've violated the "comfort zone" when you point out that God is more than just a nice old fuzzy cosmic bell-hop waiting "for someone to call him on the phone. Like the Pope maybe from Rome."

Please STOP with the fag in the blue pajamas! It's really getting annoying and hogs bandwidth for no purpose other than some kind of vanity-stroke for you.
Nobody cares about the blue poofter. Really, nobody.

What can I say? He's right, and I for one accept the rebuke. Good for you-welcome home! I don't because I and just about everyone on this board have been saying these things for as long as any of us can remember.

Throw the Marxist/World Gov. doctrine of JOHN DEWEY et al out of the government schools (college included) and we probably wouldn't need a draft. Sure you would. Most of today's kids are spoiled rotten. They don't want anyone talking to them like drill sargeants talk to recruits, they don't want anyone telling them how to cut their hair, what to wear, where to live, and what to do, they don't want to have to do the physical activity one does in the military, and they surely don't want to put their little tushes in danger.
And most of them get the idea that they are so special and privileged from their parents, not from the schools.

If one in the Military wrote this or not, whoever wrote it sure as hell told the truth. The Congress of the US has got to be cleaned out, and I mean clean out both parties. We are either going to be A NATION AGAIN or we won't be a NATION for long.

I agree with you, Zeno44 -- it's too simple to look at Hillary Clinton and fix blame (at least for this -- now, the past eight years, that's another story). We should also cross reference the voting record of every member of Congress with the film chronology.
Time for a big broom -- problem is, most Americans have such a short attention span, they'll forget the voting record of their current Representative or Senator (or not take the time to look it up) and just listen to the sound bites being produced.

You want to generate a comment! Okay G*d D*amn it I'll generate a comment. I am damn sick and tired of this shit. I will not let someone attack another American citizen and just watch. The Hell with, "Don't get involved, somebody might get hurt, bullshit." I am making a vow, now, on the Altar of Almighty God. I will watch out for my fellow American, I don't give a shit what his color is, his creed, or his national origin. I will do what I need to do, to defend this country, my state, my city, my neighborhood. God bless the Constitution of the United States and DEATH to all its enemies, especially that Shithead OSAMA BIN LADEN.

This is a very good perspective of the mess we are facing in rearranging the priorities in this country. Two months ago we were facing a crisis over whether the Republicans were trying to pick the lock 0n the SS lockbox or the Democrats wanting to spend more for social programs in dire need.
We, as a nation have always treated the military as the distant cousin that we want to see at family picnics only. The defenders of our freedoms and nation have taken a back seat to every whining special interest project that came down the pike.
We've allowed our disabled veterans to languish in veteran's hospitals with a smaller budget yearly while lamenting the fact that some able bodied welfare recipient has to go to work. This country has been cock-eyed crazy for some time. It's time to start acting like the adults we are instead of the spoiled infants we have been.
