"Does anyone remember the commercial with the words, "GROOVIE, FAR OUT, FANTASTIC!" and what is was for?"Wasn't that one of those Peter Max style anti drug adds?
"Why do you think they call it dope?"

I was hanging out in the womb when Kennedy was killed. I been told I was on my back getting a change when mom heard it over the radio.
I've never considered myself a "Boomer" and I'm certainly not an "X'er". I don't identify with the "Brady's" either.
I've always thought us as the "No limits" generation. We were the first generation to grow up with "Space Travel" as a reality and not just a possibility much less only a dream.

You just might be right on that!

For you Douglas Adams fans, I feel as if I'm strapped in a Vogon poetry reading appreciation chair. Do you realize I actually groaned in pain when she said "skyrockets in flight"?
At least you weren't forced to see the Starland Vocal Band in concert, like I was. Opening act for John Denver at the Universal Amphitheatre. ((shudder))

Who misspent a great deal of her teenage years going to concerts.

LOL! - I remember I was 12 during the 1972 elections. I made a wrist band out of masking tape and wrote N I X O N on it.
Some kid was looking at it upside down and asked me, "What's NOXIN?".

Yeah, I saw the brick bbq used too. I know the patio table was used -- maybe it was a patio lounge chair?

Yeah, but one of the best TV shows I ever saw was an episode of the Cher show...
In the musical finale, they had Cher, Freddie Prinze, The Pointer Sisters, and Teri Garr dressed up in 40s era dresses, hats, and zoot suits, and do a medley of Big Band tunes. Freddie crooned an AWESOME rendition of "Chattanooga Choo Choo."
Absolutely classic.

I saw Marsha Brady in church once :) Seriously, sat right behind me at the West L.A. Vineyard. She had a beautiful voice. What's her real name?

why is it that i can't get David Cassidy's voice out of my head now. God I miss Nixon. ... but I miss Wallace more.

I give truly great wedgies, if you followed the "wedgie war" threads, LOLDang - I missed that thread....... I was just guessing. After all, I still think of you as Mr. Commando Underoos.

After "Seasons in the Sun" sent me into adolescent depression, "You Light Up My Life" was my "candle in the rain."

This is a bit of a repose, but as far as sungs of that era we have to remember "BYE BYE MISS AMERICAN PIE" Most of us wouldn't remember the day the music died (1957?), But we can remember when this song went to number 1

"Made a wrist band out of masking tape and wrote NIXON on it" LOL
I made up two scrap books, Nixon being the subject
I remember watching the news and seeing a tear in my Mom's eye when they reported the casualties of Vietnam
Wore an MIA braclet, never took it off until it broke in half
Hated disco, thus my screen name
I am a Brady Boomer, laughed at one of the other suggestions "Lost In Space", one of my favorite shows.
