Thanks, ladies, for the great time, good food, and fab people! You're welcome, SLee. We all had a great time. I wish we had taken an indiviudal photo of you and your hubby. The next time we have an affair like this, we'll have everyone get in line for an individual photo. Ha!

Romulus, that jambalaya was delicious! You made enough to feed an army. I was so glad that you declined taking any leftovers home. My husband and I had some yesterday (Monday) and I froze the rest in individual containers for future use. Yum yum!

I really enjoyed to party. In order to help the cause of protecting our nation from terrorists, I am observing my neighbors for suspicious activities. One neighbor does not have a flag displayed. That's pretty suspicious to me, so I'll continue watching for more developments. He he

Thanks for organizing the party at Patriot1's house on Sunday. I had a great time and so did my patriotic kiddie FReepers. The food was delcious and the entertainment was outstanding. I loved J.R. and the FReepettes. The Janet Reno song was really hilarious. Thanks again.

I enjoyed the party as did my FReeplettes. Being a native New Orleanian, I can definitely say that New Orleans parties are the best! I enjoyed meeting some fellow FReepers from Alabama and Mississippi as well as other Louisianians. I loved the musical parodies, especially the one about Janet Reno. Newslady posted the words in post#37. I was rolling on the floor laughing. J.R. actually wrote the words in addition to singing these lyrics. How talented!

Thanks for the bump, I looks like I missed a great time. The new baby is doing fine.
BTW, you know that I would have won the "Freeper who traveled the farthest award".

"Well, Blam I was one of them that said it couldn't be done in 2.5 hrs." After all the comments about, 'it can't be done', I was beginning to doubt it also. But, traveling at 70-80 MPH, I made it. I enjoyed meeting you and your husband and our conversations while visiting the 'smoking lounge', lol.

"BTW, you know that I would have won the "Freeper who traveled the farthest award"." I would have liked for you to have won, however, we both still have 4CJ over in Georgia to compete with at future events.

JR and the FReepettes are thinking of offering their services to Jeb Bush in his Florida reelection campaign. We could go "on the road" with the "Janet Reno, She's Not Keeno" parody. I will choreograph a dance routine to accompany the music, a mambo, and teach it to newslady. With this help, Jeb Bush should be a shoo in.

"One neighbor does not have a flag displayed. That's pretty suspicious to me, so I'll continue watching for more developments. He he." Keep an eye on them GrandmaM. I saw John Kasich say that what goes on in your neighborhood is your business, now, even more than before. So......

Hey Patriot1, looks like you did it BIG TIME at your place. Your home and the flag decorations are no less than I'd expect from you :-) Seems like a great time was had by all. Even your lounge chairs have American flags. Thanks for sharing so many good pictures.
Keep Louisiana Republican.

Glad you liked it. I've been meaning to tell you how much I enjoyed the "Proud Mary" lyrics. You ought to think of posting them sometime -- they were GOOD!

Romulus, the lyrics to "Not So Proud Mary" were the only ones that were not original. They came from a defeat Proud Mary website. I can't recall the exact URL. However, newslady has that info, and she will respond in a thread.
All of the other lyrics were original compositions by JR and they were wonderful!
Sorry you couldn't stay for the entertainment. You would have enjoyed it.
JR and the FReepettes are also considering touring Louisiana with our song and dance routine in our efforts to help Republicans defeat Mary Landrieu. Ha!

Gracey, you would really have enjoyed the party. We had some wonderful times as well as a lot of laughs fighting the liberals when we both lived in Houston. When the shindig was first posted on FreeRepublic, BelleStar (from Galveston, TX) had indicated that she would try to come and perhaps bring a few of my patriot friends. Of course, the Sept. 11th atrocity put a damper on the travel plans of many people.
I'll see you on the FReeper cruise in less than two weeks!
