The Dems get a lot of votes from labor supporters. Take it from me, many union people will automatically vote for Dems because of the labor issue. My best friend is one example. Ask for his opinions about social issues and you might conclude that he's a Republican. But simply because Dems claim to be the party of the workingman they get the blue-collar vote majority. Gore barely won Wisconsin and that's with getting 90% of the Black vote and a great majority of the women. The majority of white males voted for Bush. A swing of about 2500 votes would have given the state to Bush. If there was a vote taken simply on social issues, Republicans would win every time. Remember Tommy Thompson had won three consecutive terms as governor. My solution is to declare Madison a separate territory. That is where the Dems have their worst liberals and strongest support. The Madison district elected the first lesbian congresswoman in the states hisory, Tammy Baldwin. Look at her voting record, and you can see why Madison is so good for Dems.

I hope I'm not too late to add one more idea: if they decry those who want to deport all Arabs because this will end muslim financed terrorism, laugh and compare it to people who want all guns taken away to end crime.

A friend sent me the following:

What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by naive hemp-shirt-wearing college students, to teach them why force is sometimes needed:

1. Approach protesters talking about "peace" and saying there should be, "no retaliation."
2. Engage in brief conversation; ask if military force is appropriate.
3. When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4. Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."
5. When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face.
6. When he gets back up to up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would, "be awful and he should not cause more violence."
7. Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.
8. Punch him in the face again, harder this time. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

How was the evening with your old frinends? Was it confrontational, or did they avoid the subject? Did you make any converts?

Tell them to take their liberal views and stick it up their @sses. If that doesn't work, tell them to get the next plane to Afganistan!! Maybe they can live in peace and harmony with the Taliban.
