Just heard that Taliban is inviting Jesse Jackson over for discussions - if he goes might be a good time to drop the bombs.......... Along with other commenters... I'll just say 'Who the hell is Jesse Jackson to the Taliban anyway?"
Since when does some sleazy so-called Christian preacher gain an audience with a bunch of terrorists in the middle-east? Well, of course those are Jackson's kind of people... thugs, extortionists... Jesse's tactics involve threats of protests, etc. The Taliban works by killing thousands of innocents... whatever works, right Jesse?

Just wait till dem mullahs get a taste of dis watermelon. Den dey shorly will forget bout all dat terrorism nonsense. And if dat don't work dey can baste demselves wif my special JJ's barbeque sauce, face Mecca, close der eyes, and count to ten.

He should remember what happened to Terry Waite.
He went to the middle east to negotiate with terrorist, and was taken hostage and held for the next four years.
If Jackson wanted to sabotage the Presidents efforts, he couldn't find a better way. If he is taken hostage (and he probably will be) it would undermine support for military action amoung those who worship the ground Jackson walks on.
To: ldish
Do you think they would take him hostage? Maybe that would stop us from invading and blowing them all to hell? One could only hope we would then hear, BOMBS AWAY!!!! Giz

What are the odds that he is going to meet with an "accident"? Aren't they required to kill all Americans they come in contact with?
To: ldish

My question would be, what took the Taliban so long, I am sure good old Jesse has been waiting for this invite for the last two weeks.
To: ldish
Does this mean he is volunteering to be collateral damage?
To: ldish
until they find out he can't moon walk, then its "wrong Jackson, rid us of this pig dog"
To: ldish
Their not dumb they know we will be bombing soon and if jihad jesse goes they will hold him hostage and use him for a pond
To: ldish
I don't like JJ, but I think that it would be wise for him to stay home.
To: ldish
Are you complaining?
Per President Bush, anyone to helps or supports or assists Terrorists are themselves to be considered terrorists. Jessie Jackson is just going home.

If they keep him as a human shield, lets pretend we don't know anything about it.
If they ask for ransom, make them pay us instead.
Jessie has to use his own plane.
He has to take Sharpton with him.
Just in case, the virgin reward will have to be Hillary if he screws us.
To: ldish
You realize the only reason this would be floated is so that the "Let's Roll" clock would be again reset until after Jesse does his visit, comes home, does the talk shows for a weekend, talks it up so that when we go in, as we have to anyway, the media spins it as "Bush rejects peace mediation."
Time honored strategy for these types. Jesse should be denied authorization to speak to the Taliban immediately.

But in order to facilitate his usefulness to America he should let his Commander-in-Chief determine the time and place of the meeting, heh, heh, heh...
To: ldish
Maybe Jesse Jackson can go over there and preach to them, of course he preaches about himself, but maybe they'll listen, at least till he starts asking for hand outs . Then it'll be either buh bye Jesse, or we'll get to see footage of all the Taliban and Bin Ladens groups doing cleansing rights as Jesse tha' pig stands around scratching his head .
Cheese.

How 'bout we give JJ a flying lesson and strap him behind the stick of a napalm-laden 747 with a course set for the cave these nuts are hiding in??
