Why is Free Republic SO user UNfriendly?

on why this website is SO friggin hard to use? Why do we have to go through the whole HTML process just to post a picture or link? Why, when posting articles, do we have to spend 10 minutes putting in stupid page breaks after every paragraph. I mean it's kind of ridiculous compared to other chat sites where absolutely NO HTML formatting is required for any of the above? We are asked to donate every so often, fine. But how bout some return on the investment besides 'posting priveledges'. If it seems like Im complaining, well, I AM! And don't tell me to go find another site. I've been here long enough to consider myself at least a sophmore member (maybe even a Jr. member). And I will continue to stay. It's 2001, I would think that the computer geeks that help Jim put this site together could figure out (like everyone else on the web) how to let people post pictures, links, complete article texts without spending 79 GD hours (of which I don't have) to learn the HTML language which 99% of us will never use elsewhere. Flame away you creeps.
