Thanks for visiting the site, and thanks for the kind words.
Please let everyone you know, know about the petition on behalf of those true heroes on flight 93.
These folks are deserving of our every effort. True modern heroes, of the Nathan Hale variety.
Jeff, YOU'RE a real hero for taking the time and energy to put together this massive "memorial" for us to enjoy and remember. It is TRULY, a keeper.
NEVER will we forget September 11, 2001.
This was my original assumption. However, during President Bush's speech, when he honored the widow of Todd Beamer, the look in his eye to her, nodding his head, was one of DEEP gratitude for an heroic act. Consequently, I join you in your conclusion. Duty - Honor - Country.
He most certainly does ... and, IMHO, it was He who was inspiring them, guiding their footsteps and leading them ... ultimately back to Him.
.... and here is the HUGE difference between what is the correct belief IMHO, and the perversion these terrorists follow. God guided these patriots and heroes back to Him by inspiring them to give their lives in an act to save other innocent lives ... not a malicious act to KILL other innocent lives.
PC? True, but we surely know that these people originated the action. Let's Roll!!
Please spread the word.
WRT the page ... I can't explain it. I HAD to do it for my posterity ... and I HAD to send THIS MESSAGE to the animals who did this.
It took its own path from there.
It also calls for those we know were involved with the plan to take back the plane to be singled out.
Those who took action are the ones who made the difference in the plane ... and we know definitevly about several of them.
That is the spirit that MUST be recognizzed here ... along with all that died too.
Just my opinion on the matter.
Consider it done, sir!
Bump!
That's how we got the 35K signatures on the Kalamth Falls petition for the water ... that and some of us taking it to the streets.
BUMP'ed back at ya!
Again, in Todd Beamers own words ... Let's Roll!
Full steam ahead for a memorial, but I don't care for the phrase above. It sounds like a planned military response to the WTC, when in fact, these civilians deserve an even higher honor than would military volunteers. Also, sounds like it was unconnected to the other attacks. Keep it plain and on a civilian honorary level,IMHO.
These were citizen soldiers, who volunteered and were self inducted on the spot, true to an oath to liberty ... perhaps not an oath officially adminstered to them, but an oath saved up in their hearts and called forth when their country needed them.
In this sense it was indeed an engagement, though I will grant not in the "classic" sense. It was an engagement of the creativity, commitment, steel, resolve and faith of noraml, every day free people, who once they understood what they were up against, pitted those qualities against the regiment, fanatacism, training, indoctrination and skills of an enemy who hated and was committed against the very qualities those passengers possesed. In the ensuing engagement ... the free and the brave defeated the regimented indoctrination of the totalitarian.
