Todd Beamer, 32; Jeremy Glick, 31; and Mark Bingham, 31 TOTALLY off-subject, but wasn't Jeremy Glick also the name of one of the vampires in Salem's Lot?

No, I think he's the host of "Primetime Glick" on Comedy Central. :-)

Generation X bump!
To: GPBurdell
The author of this piece deserves a very nice email. I think her generation may be a throwback to their grandparents. Ah those slackers, when they get up and do somethng it is a beaut.

This piece contains an excellent rundown of all the social justice topics but since patriotism has been practically labeled a hate crime and gen-x has been told to think globally, I dont know if they consider America worth defending.
Dispite the WTC attack, if asked, most would probablly consider the United States a greater enemy to mankind and social justice than any foreign threat.

Don't worry, there are alot of Gen-X'ers here at FR, and more who are serving their country in the military, and still more who love America and will defend her.

At this time if we are not to judge your generation by "the anomalies" of it, please do not judge my generation by what you have been fed by "the academic and media elite"
There has been and always will be the smart and the dumb, the heroes and cowards in every generation.
The time to pat ourselves on the back will come later, this is the time for all of us to stand united.

Here's one!

May I post an observation? I work with and know dozens of Gen-Xers, many of whom are mothers,
and I am seeing something that Kipling noted over a century ago...
"God help he who tries to come between a mother and her children.."
The anger and bloodlust is palpable when these women realize the scope of the terror visited upon us by others...

Huh? I just wanted to know if "Jeremy Glick" (the name of the hero in this plane) was also the name of the vampire in Salem's Lot. My dad is from your generation, and if he's indicative of what most of the 55-65 crowd is like, ya'll have a lot to be proud of. I have no beef with you.
