all of this stuff is U.N ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?

One world government is nothing more than a pipe dream for the global socialists -- at this point in time. Witness the disparate factions in South West Asia and throughout the world -- these past few weeks.

Hey trade makes friends. Isn't that what President Bush said about China?

Actually without free trade, things may have been much worse.

need to try to help institute democratic institutions in these countries to the best of our ability. That is our best hope, once we've settled this score, for a secure America and world.

I agree.

The vast majority who comprise the moderate population in the middle east don't want the bin laden type extremist opposition in their part of the world any more than we want them in our part of the world. The best hope is, in fact, to keep the moderates in power in some combination form of parlimentary/monoarchy/democracy that will give the local populations the mandate to extinguish all the radical faction threats.

When the natives are empowered to exterminate the threat of the extremists in their back yard, we won't have to.

Another Bump because I'm sick of the hate-mongering Freepers who have seized on the terrible events of the 11th to give their rage, contempt and loathing an outlet.

they didi it befor and look what happen

The reason for these increasingly regular and violent attacks was Islamic fundamentalist terrorism. These extreme groups (condemned by most peaceful Muslims) want to force America out of the Middle East and drive Israel into the sea. But where did they come from and how are they linked?

It was the overthrow of the shah of Iran by a radical Muslim movement in 1979 that set fundamentalist Islam on a collision course with America. The new government led by Ayatollah Khomeini determined to humiliate the "Great Satan", as they dubbed America; one of its first actions was to seize dozens of hostages in the American embassy in Tehran and hold them captive for almost a year.

THANK YOU JIMMY CARTER

We should do away with our Democratic Government, and replace it with the Representational Republic we started with. Get rid of the Socialist commie pinkos, and replace it with people who actually represent the interest of Americans.

The people in government are nothing but talking heads that are full of lies. We have a society of sheep. The Shepherds we have are duplicitous, and treacherous. Not only are they letting other sheep graze on our land, but are making it harder for the Sheep that live here to graze for themselves.

We as a nation need to simply shut off the money going to government, and stop paying these people for the lies they force down our throats. A national I.D. card is coming, because that's what the Brits are getting. It would do nothing but create a database of who you are, what you do, where you go, who you spend time with, and what you do with your free time. I can assure you, it is the mark of the beast these people intend to brand on you. The lie will not end until we as a nation force these people to understand that we are given inalienable rights. God Given Rights. We are not given these rights by government. They need to learn that.

Trade with Jordan means nothing. Jordan doesn't exist really, just like America as a sovereign nation, is slowly disappearing.

I agree with you entirely. I fail to see what the problem with this is. We are at war, and must get support from many different countries. This is a good way to shore up support for the coming military actions....

It should be noted that Jordan has a Constitutional Monarchy, a democratically elected Parliment, a working judical system (not based on Islanic law), and a very strong private sector. Most of the utilities are privatized, and the infastructure is heavily dependent on western technology. If the US and Israel is Satan in the eyes of Jihadists, then Jordan must be Bezeelbub in their eyes, since the Hashemite Kingdom is the most westernized nation (after Israel) in the Arab world.

King Abdullah served several years in the Royal British Army. He was educated almost entirely in the US and UK. For the most part, he is a westerner. I believe his mother was from the US (or another "Western" country).

Jordan is quite possible the only real ally of the US in the Arabic world. While they might not pledge troops, they have always been happy to share intel with us.

The first-ever trade agreement with an Arab nation "serves as a statement that our enemy is terrorism, not the Muslim world," said Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D.

Hey, gotta be PC whenever we can, huh?? (Actually, I have no big problem with this treaty as long as Jordan does right by us)

If we have to buy our friends and allies, we are toast!!

It's not a matter of buying allies--it's rewarding friends. The King went way out on a limb on this. He is quite literally risking his life to support us, more than any other Arab leader, despite the fact that the majority of his population is Palestinian. We said we are going to judge every government in the world by where they stand now. That means helping those who help us.
