Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of the family ties that are IN this country with them. While they are dreaming of their impending suicide death, they must find GREAT comfort knowing that their loved ones left behind, will have a 'decent' life in this land of 'plenty'.

I think it'd be better to put the military on the borders but not shoot every hungry Mexican trying to come across. They are not the terrorists and shouldn't be put into the same category as Middle Easterners trying to come through the border. I wouldn't want to kill a Mexican for what the Arabs have done.

We do need to think this through with logic, not panic. The hijack scheme was amazingly easy to do, no resources required other than knives and plane steering. But to project that because this was unexpected, they could, e.g., somehow hit a button and make the entirety of America go boom, is beyond the pale (to use a ridiculous example). These people are exceedingly wicked but they don't have the magic of Satan (yet).

you need to move to the heart of a top 10 american urban city and report what bio/chem warfare feels like for us.

I'm reporting in from Houston, if that's good enough.

Right now, I'm comfortable in trusting our President. He knows of the threat, and he knows of the options. I can not think of a better man for the job than him, and I trust the people he has picked to help him.

If such an attack occurs, it will be horrible, and it would cripple the nation far worse than happened last week. If such an attack were linked to a nation state, I have little doubt that we would respond with a nuke right on their capital city with no warning.

Right now there's no need to nuke anyone. If we can accomplish our goals without it, that would be infinitely better.

We also need to increase border enforcement, but I'd stop short of your shoot-on-sight suggestion. Keep in mind that if you really wanted to enter this country, there are thousands of miles of unguarded coastline and a vast northern boundary that is unmarked and unguarded. We do not even begin to have the resources necessary to guard our borders.

We will do what we can, understanding that it is impossible to protect against everything. Taking the battle to their backyard is the best tactic I can think of in order to provide true protection.

amen, i'm doing rapture drills while threads load! lol! btw, thanks for the 'mushroom' thread. i wonder how many americans will have to die before we put the fear of God and america back in the hearts of our enemies. oh, that's right, the world is moving closer to a giant hug. oh, brother hitech. the only world hug will happen under a singular, no borders, one military, one currency, no-americans left state. you know it and i know it. i don't advocate killing innocents, but it's a reality. if we don't start flexing, the next attack on our soil will be magnified by hundreds.
