That was HILARIOUS, thank you.
In all seriousness, I turned to my husband last night during the speech and said, "I have said a hundred times how happy I am that Gore didn't pull it off, but I have NEVER meant it as much as I mean it right now."
I shudder to think...in fact, I actually wonder if Gore himself hasn't had secret moments of "whew, that was a close one" since last Tuesday.

This really made my day. I copied it and e-mailed it to all my friends. My sides are still sore!
Thank You!

"...I was instrumental in the creation of the World Trade Center..." you WERE instrumental in the destruction of the World Trade Center, Al.

I disagree..if algore was president then that whining piece of garbage Lieberman would be vice president...the Hall Moniter and the Kvetch...we would be the laughing stock of the world not its leader...watching Bush speak one of the major reasons that I felt safe was his solid maleness...the Muslims of the world will respond to that with much more caution than if we'd had an effiminate brown-nose merely mouthing tough words...
I know this sounds kind of silly when we're talking about such a serious situation...but I told my daughter not to worry because we had a real American cowboy in charge...what I meant was both symbolic--cowboys represent our almost lost image of hero--and concrete--he is a physical man who works out, uses his hands, and can connect man to man with many other men--Gore is, was, and will always be the snitch who ratted on his teammates in high school to get in good with the coach (true story!)--he is creepy and untrustworthy...other men wouldn't trust him...he is an empty suit.

Thank Almighty God it is not so! Thank you for making so abundantly clear how truly blessed we are to have President Bush and how truly great his speech last night was!

Initial responces-
GW- "How bad is the Pentathagon damaged?"
Algore- "I demand we get a recount on the number of planes, keep counting till you get zero."
Slick willy- "Your husband is missing? So your free tonight right?"
GHWBush- "Can't comment, not prudent."
Reagan- "Osama who?"
Carter- "I'll get my tools we'll make another one, all of us together."
Ford- "Make sure it wasn't one of my golf balls."

In reality, the major important distinction in a situation like this isnt whether the President was Bush or Gore. (Ducking... hear me out!!!) Democrat or Republican, the President would have followed his advisors. I heard you out and it's still horse manure. A wagon load.
What this country needs in this time of trouble is LEADERSHIP.
Do you really think Bush just follows blindly the advice of his advisers?
The President MAKES the final call. It's his ass on the line, so he makes the decision.
Gore and his bunch of pansies would be too worried about his poll numbers to show any leadership.
