This type of action is usually one of the initial steps to creating public discontent with any administration action, and is de-moralizing to our troops, and unpatriotic.
Has anyone else heard anything like this going on? Sounds like a free-fest is needed.

Ah, the boll weevils emerge. If they have a problem with president Bush, they could save that for an editorial.
Oh, wait, I'm sorry, this is NBC, where editorials pass as the news.
As a youth, I recall television stations had a 2 minute spot where citizens could respond to the station's editorial. That practice is long gone.

>>...because they're (the station) going to question Bush's actions.
He hasn't done anything yet (Bush).
And I hope Bush elimantes the governments of Iraq and Iran (and thereby the oil-based funding of terrorism) and confiscates oil income to give to the victims and pay for the damages here. Probably can skip Afghanistan.

IF this is true...but there have been so many rumors out there...I would verify this and others before jumping the gun.
PLEASE remember that there are people out there who are once again trying to divide this country and will take whatever measures necessary....

What in the he*l is going on in Florida?
NCII, the company which banned the employees from dispaying the flag, was located in Boca Raton, Florida. The school where the superintendent refused to allow the children to wear the flag was from somewhere in Florida. The firehouse where they refused to allow the fireman to fly the flag on the firetruck was from Miami-Dade. Now Channel 8 in Tampa with this crap. Please tell me what the he*l has happened in Florida???
I guess I never really liked Florida much, now I know why......

GANG: TIME OUT!!! IF I verify this is true (my friend does not get in until 10 a.m.) I can probably get some very private email addresses and maybe even a certain station manager's cell phone number. UNTIL THEN, please take a pill. But if true, I shall personally carry the flag for

Also known as the war on the PC police and the left.

I think it is time for some peaceful resistence to those in authority who are disallowing these kinds of patriotic demonstrations. WEAR THE RIBBONS ANYWAY FOLKS. If you are fired, then let places like Free Republic and others deal with them.
Don't let anybody tell us we cannot fly our flag or wear our ribbons!!!
To: Real Cynic No More
VERIFIED! I just spoke to their Assoc. Producer and he said they can wear red, white & blue BUT they can't wear ribbons. I asked why was that. He didn't know. I asked who made that decision. It came from Forrest Carr, the News Director. I said I wanted to talk to him but he wasn't in yet. The man said I could leave him a message if I liked. I said I sure would. The man laughed and said lots of messages have already been left. So, I did. Have at it guys; give Forrest a piece of your mind.

From media training seminars I've attended,,, I know that Red doesn't photograph well by TV news cameras,, nor do stripes, plaids & herringbones. I'm MOST CERTAINLY not trying to give these guys a pass,,, just offering a possible answer to this,,, knowing some ditzy newsreader might not understand the techy side, and try to make a mountain out of a molehile.
Some things that happen in times like these are totally explainable, if we'll only listen for the real answers instead of jumping to conclusions.
On the other hand,,, if the decision is based on politics,,, I say we should mail little envelopes of ribbon to the station,,,,, just to remind them some of us disagree with such wimpa$$ stuff.
