Talk about being disruptive!!! Every damn' thread I try reading has this on it. It's enough to turn me off to FR totally.

It is the only way we have to raise the money needed to keep this site available.

So, I assume you have already donated? If so you are part of the 1.6% of registered members who give anything.

If not you are a Freeploader.

Am I clear?

War from 15,000 feet is rather cowardly, if you think about it.

This is a silly comment, IMO. If I have a M-16 and a person is coming at me with a knife 200 yards away...should I wait until he is 5 feet away before I pull the trigger? In war, dead is dead. The point is to kill the other guy before they kill you. If they never see you, all the better...fear, from an unseen source of death, gives the others pause.

The ubiquity of your post ensures that many (most) viewers will ignore it. Wouldn't it be better to send all FReepers a personal FReepmail suggesting that they donate to FR?

Maher is no brave man that he has ever demontrated. He is a liberal that hasn't bucked Hollywood's letfist politics. His comments make it doubtful he is knowledgable about the word, "courage." But, if it is courageous to kill innocent people in a sneak attack, then that is a definition of the word I am unfamiliar with.

When did you ever face someone with a loaded weapon? I have. Re think your comments! Before you call someone a coward. ARCLIGHT, or stay at home at your PC and criticise heros!

The orchestrators of the attack were cowardly -- This is who W was referring to. The kamikazis were not cowardly, just stupid and sick.

>>>KTRK said it received a number of calls -- "in the low hundreds," the station said. The station said it receives triple that amount when it pre-empts a soap opera. It had no further comment. <<<

Conjecture: Soap operas have three times the viewing audience as PI?

I hope they pull the entire show. Maher is a classic pettifogging sniveler, he was/is/ever-shall-be a disgrace.

"War from 15,000 feet is rather cowardly, if you think about it"

That is one of the dumbest comments I've heard, especially coming from someone named ARCLIGHT Guam to Nam Operation Arclight: South Vietnam 18 June 1965

Much as I despise his show, Maher has a point here. War from 15,000 feet is rather cowardly, if you think about it.

Tell that to the Rangers who were butchered and dragged through the streets in Somalia. Or to the families of the 58,000 names on The Wall. The US military has paid its dues. Maher is pathetic.

Cowards knowingly attack and kill innocent civilians.

If they had taken over a military transport full of soldiers and flown that into the WTC's then you could call them something other than cowards.

But they didn't do that, did they?

Lobbing cruise missles rather than being a kamikazi isn't cowardly, it's smart.
Suicide is stupid, not courageous.

I'm glad to see that Fed-Ex doesn't support one of the feminized males who has helped to emasculate, and therefore weaken America, making her vulnerable to attack.

Let's watch the other advertisers on his show.

Wouldn't be nice if for just one week people would stop watching the major networks. I have stopped watching ABC, CBS and NBC as well as CNN. I lsitened last night to the News Hours with Jim Lehrer, he kept referring to President Bush as Mister Bush. This morning I wrote him a note demanding he show the proper respect for our President. I also wrote my senators demanding they pull government support for PBS and the Endownment of the ARTs.

"...If Bill Maher believes that Americans are cowards and hijackers are warriors, let him go out on the street corner and shout that. But Disney does not have to give him a TV show and Channel 13 does not have to airthat show."

Think about the affect upon Disney now that air traffic is down and families won't be traveling to Orlando to visit Disney World. Don't be surprised if Eisner starts to back off his 'Great Leap Forward' (e.g. Disney Political Correctness). How Disney reacts to this Maher episode should give a pretty good indication.

Do you possibly believe they were following orders, maybe? The orders of a craven and his appointees who were more interested in wasting bombs and resources, terrorizing a population, creating a distrust and hatred for America, and further dividing our nation, than in letting anyone fight a war.

You clould make a case the Usama is a coward, sending people to their death, instead of doing it himself.

I don't like Maher, but he is correct. This is axactly how the MidEast terrorists think about it, according to an interview I saw two nights ago.
